Rocketscientist and his wife
Hi all, Rocketsceintist just emailed me this photo and asked if I'd post it for him. He also asked that I put this:
"Rocketscientist and his wife...the lady who presented a convincing argument to order our new Chrome Silver Touring 350Z"
Here's their photo,

God bless you and your wife. You two look so happy and healthy. You are now my role model. I am buying another new Z when I am your age. I showed my wife your picture and the quote, since my wife also gave me a big thumb up for the Z. See my post in this thread for her reasons. => https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=680

My wife (Esther) has always wanted a real sports car. We had a TR-4 back in the 60s. It was fun but seemed to be in the shop quite often. We had a big 1960 Mercury Parklane convertible which we drove about 100,000 miles and eventually bought a Camaro Rally Sport back in 1973. It was a nice car but still sort of big. Esther always wanted a Corvette but we never got one. We got a 92 Ford T Bird instead but in '92 the T-Bird didn't come out with a V8 and we found it to be underpowered. We were on the verge of buying a BMW-Z3 but heard about the upcoming 350Z and I was reading about the G35. Being somewhat practical, I was leaning toward the G35. Esther said "what do we need another 4+ seater car for, we already have an AWD Dodge Caravan....If you say that the 350Z appears to be a better sports car than the Z3...lets get the 350Z." The rest is history!!
The moral of the story is "Once in-awhile, it pays to listen to your wife."

Thanks for sharing your nice story. Some of those are paralell to mine. When we first got married, my wife dream car was an MG. After she saw a real one at an auto show, the quality of the car practically turned her off. I got so many dream sport cars of my own, a 240Z is one of them, but can't afford any. Later we bought a little budget "sporty" Toyota Celica GT hatchback. It was our poor man sport car back then and we loved it. A few years later, we have our first child. A practical 4 doors car become a must over night. Now, I am handing down my Maxima to our youngest child. After 20 years with children, I almost forgot about our sport car dream and only looking for a G35 as a replacement for practicality reason. My wife help put some sense back into my head.
Have fun with your Z.

Yes, we have a similar story. Our son (only child) is now 30 and married and just made us new grandparents June 3rd...a great little boy named Patton Bradley. Our son is a WWII buff and got the chance to name the boy. Son, wife and Patton are doing well and we are very thankful for this special little life.
BTW, we have a Chrome-Silver Tourning 350Z with AT on order. At our age, the AT was more practical. My wife has a bad back and the constant use of a heavy clutch would not be good. We live in the Sierra mountains at the 3300 foot level just north of Yosemite so the Z will be fun to drive over our hilly and crooked roads.
