I found my helmet, but it only has a dot sticker...you think this will pass still? They never said anything about it back before 1999.

 

Bring the Z.......you'll have more fun and it will turn better times. Take off the TC and shift manually. If you show up you might gain some credibility.

 

As long as you have a helmet, you're fine. They don't seem to check for details on the helmet.

I like how everytime we try to have a meet, it rains. Somebody sure does like to **** all over our fun (literally).

I'll start a new thread with new dates if it rains and the track closes.

BTW, most NHRA-sanctioned tracked have this helmet rule (and the rules change every year lately so this may be off slightly)

If your ET is:

11.00 - 11.99 = Snell 95 or newer, or SF1 31.1/31.2 helmet and roll cage
11.99 - 13.99 = Snell 95 or newer, or SF1 31.1/31.2 helmet
> 13.99 = No equipment needed

Track rules may vary. But note that a DOT helmet is NOT what they want to see if you fall into those ET classes above. A DOT helmet does not have fire-proofing built into them. Snell/SF1 certified helmets do. And this is what they care about.
