How far is the track from ennis? I've got to find a hotel...guess I can google the place and see what comes up. Is Ennis a dry town - LOL
I figure if I leave Pasadena at 4pm I can miss some of the North Bound traffic and perhaps get there around 7 - 7:30PM

The track is in Ennis. I even mapquested the track for your guys in the first post, if you haven't noticed already.
Before you get a hotel or whatever, you may want to think about the meet that is on the next day, which is in Grapevine.
Plan to arrive at the track around 8:15ish. That'll give you and your car time to rest and get ready.

Don't expect the DFW people to come out. They care more about how much they put down on the dyno and car shows.

and provided my tire condition is good and nothing unexpected happens i will be racing on the 6th... now that i sold my subs... lets see if i can get some better times...
