my first pass down the track in 6 years...my first ever pass in a manual transmission car...my first pass in my z...was my best pass. 13.9 @ 101 or whatever...2.2 60ft. I am happy with that, i was "parked" next to you on the highway so i know i could be as fast as your with much more practice but I'd rather not beat on my car.

But i still love you chris...you are the best driver in dfw so far.

That is true. I will say that you did very well for your first time in 6th years with your first MT down the track. And yea, I was expecting you to pull, but it was neck and neck.

BTW, why not beat on your car? It needs a beating once in a while and it hones your driving skills.

And I'm glad you think I'm the best in DFW, but I highly doubt it. If I am, then I hope I don't stay at the top for very long. I've been trying to get you guys more and more involved with drag racing, so I'll have more of a challenge and you guys have fun while getting better.

Cubu - I don't have that many mods.. Just popcharger, mrev2, spacer, test pipes and I'm on 245/275.

I have a feeling my Tilton is wearing out...it's a lot easier to drive now. So i don't want to really finish it off till i have a plan. I would like to get it re-built but i am having a little trouble finding new discs and figuring out if i need to send anything back to Tilton to get worked.

So.. just to recap a little:

-the north Dallas guys are going to meet up at Starbucks on 75 and Campbell (exit 26) and meet up approximately 7:40 pm on Friday
-we'll leave Starbuck's around 7:45-7:50 pm

-somebody will give the west dallas people a call when we're by 35 and 20 and they can catch up to the caravan.

-we'll arrive approximately around 8:30 pm for tech and cool-down.

-if we have enough people, maybe I'll try to set up some sort of a tournament between us Z guys.

So, who's actually coming? Please, don't put your name on the list if you're just gonna ***** out.

Anybody else coming from West Dallas as well? If you are coming from the Grand Prairie or Arlington area we will meet at Razoos next to the PARKS mall around 7:15-7:30.

Add Creed.
I'll be coming up from Houston and plan on leaving around 4pm to beat Houston traffic out of town.

Hopefully my daughter Teah will come with me to shoot video, and help me drive. Haven't decided if we're going to spend the night and go to the thing in Grapevine yet.

BTW: What is this meet in Grapevine anyway.

Just to clarify, you know the racing is at we're getting there around 8:30 at night, correct? If you don't spend the night, then you're going to be driving during the AMs and you'll be tired.

And the meet starts around noon, I think. (Check the thread in the events sub-forum for more info)

Oh yea, I'll definitely try to help you out at the strip. But from the last time slip that I saw, you seemed to have figured out as your launch was good and shifting wasn't bad.

Leave all that **** at home. You can probably leave it laying on the ground, but wouldn't risk it. Why would you want to bring that anyway?

chris doesn't want me to bring a magic boy??? what if he follows me in his car... there's not a whole lot that i can do about that except BURN HIM... and i might get a ticket doing that...

but what i'm refering to is sister is riding with me if magic boy comes then he will be driving his car... and probably not racing...

Well, the best way to learn is to go down the track and find out what works for you. Usually, a lot of the answers to your questions depends on your own personal preference.

And I won't be hotlapping the whole time, so even if you get here late, I may be able to help you out. Ask me at the track and I'll help you then.

But keep in mind that I'm no expert by any means. Although, I seem to be doing pretty damn well, so I guess I'm not too bad.

Anthony, I don't see why your friend wants to come. Your sister's never been so I guess I can understand that. I'm not gonna stop him nor do I even care if he's there, but from my experience, spectating is one of the most boring things. In fact, I see it as a waste of time. If he wants to come, he's more than welcome though.

yeah well we'll see i'm not going to bring him in my car but if he wants to follow then he can have a field day with it...

my sister went to the NOPI event... which was ok... and ok is stretching it... she will be spectating also... i don't know how much fun it will be for her either... but whatever... i'd prefer just to come alone and say F*** the rest of them... but my sis keeps bothering me to take her with me... but i always have to pay...
