See, this is all I wanted - people enjoying what I've been enjoying for a year (drag racing). I'm glad I got a couple of people hooked.

i enjoy it... but i just don't quite like the idea of beating the hell out of my daily driver all the time... if i had a sort of junker car or maybe a fast little beater i wouldn't mind running it... but i'd better get a trailer cause i'm probably going to be hard on it all night so i might break something...

I've always been looking for a '96 300ZX that i can mess with and race... i don't know a whole lot about those cars but i think it would be a worthy investment to keep me from screwing up my 350...

What the hell? Dude, I beat my car up on the track more than anybody I know. I've been to the track more than everybody from our area on here combined. In fact, this past Friday, I actually broke one of my rear wheel studs. You break things and you fix things. It's more fun that way. Plus, you've only ran 4 times max, so you can't say "all the time."

yeah i know, but if i start getting interested then i'd start doing it all the time, then i'd be breaking things, then i'd have to have money to fix things, then i DON'T have money to fix things so i'm stuck without a car for the next two weeks, then i can't get to work, then i lose my job, then i starve to death cause i have no food,

So as you can plainly see i can't really get into the drag racing scene yet... thanks tho'

you can drag race without beating up your car, just shift normal and don't beat the hell out of your clutch, the more practice you have the less chance of you damaging your car, and change you oil more often if you drag

I know it's a short notice, but does anybody want to go to the drag strip this Friday night (May 11th)? For those of you with nitrous, it's free nitrous night also.

Location: TX Motorplex in Ennis, TX
Time: Gates open at 8pm, racing from 9pm - 2am
Price: $15 to race all night, $10 to cheerlead

Yeah, I'll be there from 8:30 pm until they close. I need to find out if my new mods are worth the money or not. I don't keep/buy mods that do not help my car go faster.
