Default May 26th, 2007 - DFW Dyno Day 3

It's time for our 3rd dyno day. We had a good turn out the first two times. The dyno is a dynojet at HPP and we've had our first 2 dyno days there. Like the first two times, I will post up the dynos as jpg files after the dyno day. Hope to see some new faces along with all our friends from our previous meets/dyno days/race days.

Date:
May 26th, 2007

Time:
10:00 am - ???

Location:
HPP Racing
414 Holfords Prairie Rd
Lewisville, TX 75056-9581
972-395-9844

Price:
$40 for 3 wideband pulls

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dyno'ing
1. bommart
2. 3 5 0
3. Z_freak
4. cykick
5. WalkerT
6. JDMFairladyZ33
7. Nexx
8.
Not Dyno'ing
1. kwiker
2. cubu
3. golfinz
4.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Do we want to dyno in a specific order (i.e., by mods, years) or just in the order that we show up?

And I know there is another thread, but that had other suggestions for shops and whatever. Plus, the first post (this one) has all the necessary info for easier reference.

Wink

I would love to come out and just see whats going on in the Z world...I have been a long time admirer and a short time owner of the 350Z. Don't have a whole lot of Mods yet, but would love to come out and see your Z's on the dyno. Is it worth it to get you semi-stock Z dyno'd ? or just hang out and see what numbers others are putting out ? I have a Nismo intake & Nismo wing only,...not much yet but I would love to talk to everyone and get ideas and input on what is good and what is bad. I bought the Z used w/ only 9350 miles on her in January of '06. So I'm a little late to get started with the Mods, but after driving her for a year now, I'm starting to get that itch. Here she is as I bought her.

I dont think anybody would have a problem with the Corvette. The LS2 is rated at 400 hps/400 lbs torque. It will be interesting to see how much of that gets put down to the ground.

You should put your Z on the dyno and see the relative numbers. Once you've done more mods, you should dyno again to see the relative gains and your wideband. For more accurate measurement of power gains, however, getting timed at the drag strip is a better method.

I don't mind. Tell that vette to come and dyno.

I think i will Thanks. I hope to talk to all of you for some info on rims, Exhausts, etc..... & I hope someone will show me how to read the dyno Otherwise it will be like looking at Japanese writing.

See you you all there ! Thanks.

Good to hear. If you have any questions, then feel free to ask. That's one of the reasons why we meet up (to talk about mods and cars and other random ****). And as for the dyno, it's just like any other graph. All the axes are labeled, so it won't be hard to understand.
