It was obvious that a few of you weren't going to the show anyways.
i still wouldn't mind supporting the event and still want the free grub!! LOL as long they ask before touchy touchy LOL.

Well I know as a judge of the shows in the past, you go in expecting the owner to know you are going to go through your car. We usually don't ask. But you are more than welcome to hang out and watch us.

hey guys, i signed up for this forum and thought i would chime in, as a member of the club and someone helping to promote the show.
i've been to A LOT of these ZCCA judged shows in the past, and i've had my car in every show. These shows are different from all the other "big" shows mentioned as it is a Z specific show. The judges are very knowledgable about the model years they are judging and know exactly what to look for. The judges in these shows have always been very particular about every aspect they are judging. Like 300twinz said, you should have every compartment of your car open when the judge arrives, otherwise they will open it themselves or just deduct points.
As far as the incident one member here had, I was not aware of it, and the judge went too far in that case. I cannot defend his actions. But the judges are car enthusiasts and they are not trying to harm your car in any way. I am very delicate with my car as well, but I trust the judges. If you feel uncomfortable, then you should stand by your car and do everything yourself as the judge is scoring your car. That being said, I will address this issue at our next meeting to the officers so that the judges are aware of this matter so we can avoid any incidents like this at this year's show.
Trophies will be handed out to 1st and 2nd places in each class. The following link are the ZCCA guidelines which all the Z clubs generally follow for the show. As in past shows, there may be small changes and revisions if not enough cars are present or signed up. Take a look to see where you would like to register.

As far as the paypal address mentioned earlier, I tested it just a short while ago, and it was working perfectly. Please try again and tell me if you have any problems, but it should work.

I hope that some of you will come out and show your cars at the show. Even if you don't want to show, I encourage you to come watch and eat some free lunch on the dealership. Let me know if you have any questions.

yes, like i said, i just registered here so i could contribute to this thread but:
http://www.twinturbo.net/net/directo...&user_id=25820
i'm been an active member of that forum since 2000, and a very active member of the Z32 community in general
i see your sarcasm, but the show is obviously a real event...due to the bad timing of ZCON (and distance) which is next week, a lot of Texas Z'ers who usually attend are skipping it...we think this show will have a great turnout, partly because of that...i'd love to meet some of the 350Z guys in houston

its all good arashid, it's just ppl got a sour taste from the last years show from way they judged(touching of vehicles) , seeing that it's noobs posting the show up didn't help , and at the same time ur boy solo sarcasm quote didn't help . damage was done after that.... all in all I was a spectator last year and i thought it was a nice lil show IMO. on the up side i will try to come on out and check it out for the houston z community .

if i may, i attended last years show, as a spectator as well, and all in all I think the show/meet went rather well. I too as a "newbie" wasn't to impressed with the judges being so physical with the owners car but at the same time I did not see any harm come to the vehicles and therefore I don't think its such a bad idea with having the judges all up in your car...just as long as they get the approval from the owner of the vehicle. With that being said I'll definitly go just to show support (wish I could enter my Z...to bad it doesn't have any major goodies like trubluez or any of the other guys from h-town). But I think this will be a good opportunity to get the z community in houston together and meet some new and old faces. good luck with the event.

Hey mine is stock!!! I told them that too, and guess what they said. We will probably be putting you in Modified!! I was like that is not right. My car comes this way from the factory. It is a stock car. I don't stand a chance against other modified cars. But I will be there Friday evening from San Antonio.

I thought someone else was going to win it.....but Linds told me, it's all politics - so true.
So with that said: yours is a nismO edition (top) have a good chance of winning and mine is a base (rock bottom) doesn't stand a chance but i don't plan on entering anyways just to spectate.
