Nexx - When are you getting your car back? Event isnt until May. Plenty of time, right? I am sure you want to get your car dyno'd after you get it back from the shop!

3hree5ive0ero - Will get the dyno info today at lunch I am hoping. Going to call Dan for it on my lunch break.

Zspec - When are you picking up the new Z?

Updated the original post and started a list so you guys can see who is interested so far. I would like to see more guys signing up for this, but I do know there is a rep for DFW peep's not showing up... that not withstanding, I still want to see this happen, and this is PLENTY advanced notice.

First off... Nexx ya damn eggroll you break my heart sending your car to Forged LOL Hey man was it our ride back to your house that made you want more boost? :P

3hree5ive0ero what does it matter what dyno it is, you always run 13.2.
Haha but anyway it's a brand new Mustang load based dyno. I am working with the Domestic shop next to me since he was so kind to spend $35K to purchase one.

I want 15 good men and women to sign up for this. We will have food and beverages. I will also give out free a T-shirts, Motul Hat, or Poster to those who participate.

Thanks, Dan, but I think you give me more credit than I deserve. I'm still sad that you never let me run your ST Z down the track but let Andrew run it, only to get a 13.4. That was so long ago!

edit - Will it be the same price for 3 wideband pulls? If so, I'm in.

Look here ya little hater I ran a 14.3 my first time LMAO! My radar detector flew into my lap and I almost crapped my pants. But after a while I got it down to 12.8 at 109mph on sucky *** worn out nitto's, the original 03' manual transmission that basically has no 2nd gear.

Actually let me tell the truth Acree got my car to 12.8 at 109mph.

I owe acree a big thanks for not allowing my car not to get owned by NA Z's.

Yes we get tailpipe wideband pulls, also we are discussing 2 regular pulls (3 is almost pointless) and 1 1/4 mile run.

Should've given it to me if you wanted mid 12s.

Will I be able to get the data from the computer hooked up to the dyno onto my flash drive (USB)? I've been doing that since our first dyno day and still have everybody's files. Also that 1/4 mile run doesn't/shouldn't count toward anything. Who's going to be doing the launching/shifting? Also, traction isn't much of an issue on the dyno 1/4 mile, right?

Man screw you and the sticky tires you rode in on... haha my car is getting closer to 100K. At that time I am going built motor so the next time we get out to Ennis I might let you take it down the track

Not sure, but if I were you I would make sure you have a clean stick because lord only knows where it's been.

The dude running the dyno who is has more experience than you at the track...

Also... who says it does not count for nothing? A lot of people have never taken there cars to the track and this gives them a ballpark reading of their 1/4 mile times.

I don't think it should be an issue for cars with say... 250 ish RWHP

I was only on street tires - Nitto NT555 ZR Extremes - which aren't all that sticky or meant for the drag strip. BTW, how much power are you putting down?

I'm not letting anybody launch my car! It'd be cool to see what he/she's doing, though, since I'd assume you can be within view of what/how he's doing. I'm taking notes.

You can guess your ET by your trap. ET is supposed to be a result from a combination of your skills (mostly) and your car's power. Getting a number that a machine calculates defeats the purpose and takes the fun out of it. It's like having a dyno beast but with crappy integral.

Leave my weakass car out of this! I put down even less now, since I don't have an aftermarket exhaust and my pipings don't match. I'm just saying if you launch on the dyno like you would with slicks, it might slip a little as there won't be enough friction between the tires and the rollers to catch traction instantly. I'm also not too sure if I want to put all that sudden force only to be detained by a couple of straps.

With that said, I think doing the 1/4 mile on the dyno is a good way to attract some people, as they never have the time to visit the track.

i still want to know where the f my slip went!!! i coasted to a 13.45 at 93.5mph with a 2.145 60ft time. thats all i remember. the car blew right as i went into 3rd gear. ack!!! this still haunts me. i think i was good for at least a 12.5 to 12.7 ish time.
