Default Porsche Club of America (PCA) @ Harris Hill Road (H2R)

The Coastal Bend Region of the Porsche Club of America (CBR PCA) is proud to announce the inaugural Drivers Education/Time Trials (DE/TT) event to be held Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Harris Hill Road (H2R) track in San Marcos. This beautiful 1.8 mile road course consists of 9 turns and several elevation changes. There will be three (3) run groups, and each run group will run four (4) twenty (20) minute sessions. At the end of the day, time trials begins.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

Friday, June 13th
• 4:00pm-6:00pm - Drop tow vehicles at track early registration & tech
• 5:00pm - Instructor track walk through & set up passing zones

Saturday, June 14th
• 7:00am - Gates open
• 7:30am - Registration opens
• 8:00am - Track walk through
• 8:30am - Drivers meeting
• 9:00am - 1st group on track 3 run groups 4 sessions 20 min each
• 3:00pm - Time trial begins

There are four (4) 350Zs registered for the event. Come out if you have an opportunity.

Great event yesterday . . . three Zs showed up and we represented Nissan well. We did four 20-minute sessions in the almost two-mile track. My Z handled well throughout the day, even with the almost 100 degree weather. My Brembos with Ferodo race pads bit hard all day long, with no signs of fade. I was on Hankook Z211s, which are road race tires and it made it even more fun.

I skipped the Time Trials at the end of day but Russ & Ron stayed -- how did it go guys? Also, any pics you can post?

We also did not do Time Trails. They couldn't figure out how they wanted to run the timing system, and for 10-15 minutes kept trying to figure it out. We decided to just forget that and leave.
