Default Drag season is here dfw!!!

OK guys, drag season is here and I really hope to get some more people out to the track this year.

there are a lot of events coming up that will be a blast, and plenty of test and tune days to get out there and actually experience what it is like to be on a track yourself.

2/21/09 - Open Test and Tune

3/7/09 - PINKS ALL OUT! Qualifier

3/14/09 - PINKS ALL OUT! Qualifier

3/20/09 - PINKS ALL OUT! Test & Tune

3/21/09 - PINKS ALL OUT! (can't wait for this personally)

3/27/09 - Fast Friday

4/17/09 - Fast Friday

5/15/09 - Fast Friday

6/26/09 - Fast Friday

6/27/09 - Battle of the Imports

This is as far as I will got for now, but you can count on me being at the track on every single one of these dates.

You do realize that Pinks events are pretty much useless, since you'll get raped as soon as you get there, right? Also, BOI is probably a rice-fest and too crowded. From my 3+ years of going to the drag strip, the best ones are the Fast Fridays and only some Test and Tune Saturdays.

You need to get your boost leak (rofl @ "3psi") fixed first.

I wish I could go to the test n tune on the 21st but I will probably be out of town. I don't plan on going to any Pinks events. Too much waiting and not enough racing.

Are spectators allowed, or is the castration clause still in effect?

spectators are allowed, but we will likly give you **** lol

hey even if i get raped in pinks all out, if i get my slicks and my leak fixed in time, i might be fast enough to have a chance to be in the 16 that they pick, plus it will just be a damn good time

although, if I had my 9psi and could put it all to the ground, i should be able to hit low 12's

Unless we get some good videos and pictures out of you, it will always be in effect.

No, you don't understand. Shop cars don't make the cut at Pinks. So unless you're running 11s or faster (which you won't even with slicks), you're just wasting your money. Trust me.

True Chris, I am not saying that I WOULD make it, they select the cars by having 16 cars within a couple of tenths of each other, so it depends on everything else out there, yea I am 99% sure I wont be selected, but it would be a fun experience to see all that is brought out there etc

I love drag racing more than anybody else I know (in person), but I personally wouldn't go on those days and waste my money. A few shop cars all capable of 10 sec runs from our forum have tried in the past and none of them made the cut (or had problems prior to the event ).

Does it cost more money just to enter those events or something? Draco why are are you still running on a boost leak, what's going on, it seems like such an easy fix I don't see why you keep boosting with a leak.

its not hurting anything and he wanted to go drag racing. he has replace a pipe thats leaking at the flex joint. its not located in the easiest place to get to either.

Events usually cost more to cover various fees that the track has to pay. Test and Tune Saturdays and Fast Fridays are $15 to race.

Yeah, pretty inconvenient location.

I'm sure its not as inconvenient as losing boost.

i have a good game plan for the next drag day. if you can bust into the mid 11's, you'll have a chance.

ive seen cars hit mid 11's with sub 120mph trap. just requires a great launch with some stickies. guess what im shopping for right now. i completely took the wrong approach last time out. i'll make sure i at the very least break into the 11's next time. 123mph trap with heavy *** 19's is decent imho.
