Hi Guys!

Okay you Must be there at: 7:30 - 8:30 for Registration and Tech.

The first few hours from arriving and drive time are really hectic and go by pretty fast......remember there are 98 people registered (as of right now). so you willl be in lines registering and for tech......its a busy time.

During registration you will get your course WORK assignment for when you guys will be course watching.

Now all that being said......I will be getting there at 6AM to set up my canopy and secure a great spot for all of us.......especially the spectators in our group.

So look for my Canopy:



However, my work assignment is at 6:30 for course set up, so i may be setting up cones and making marks on the lot, so i might be walking around......im working set up so that for the rest of the day i will be free to help all of our new guys out/answer questions, etc....

Okay guys,

We are gonna completely play-this-by-ear...............but since we are all in the same classification and we all will finish racing after our run group is over, maybe if were up for it we can go grab some Chili's grub, Margarita's/beers and chat about the event!

Hopefully.....our run group is early and were done by say 1-2 or something, but i say to play it by ear cause ya never know and after a long day of being outside i know many might not be up for Chili's and may just wanna get home!

SOooo, well figure it out Sunday! Just throwing that out there!~~

oh, and Chili's is right across the street from the event, that's why i suggested it but if anyone wants to suggest something different, we can vote on it Sunday.

Sweet can't wait, i'll be there around 7:45ish in the stock nogaro red Z. I'm going to be a supper newb at this so if I ask a stupidly obvious question it's not b/c I'm being arrogant (just dumb). Also if any one has a battery cover for a Z that they want to sell, bring it with you.

 

Since I can't run, I'll be glad to help anyone out that needs it. If you have stuff you want me to lock in my car, that's fine. Also, I'm interested in riding along with people.
I'm thinking I probably won't bring the M35 to race, haven't had enough seat time to get a good feel.

 

seat time! your not jumping on an HPDE course with walls and tire barriers.......this is autoX buddy..........bring the M35 dammn it!!!

The only clothing requirement is closed toe shoes. Don't show up in your flip flops - you'll have to borrow a pair of shoes before you'll be able to drive.

Hats are a plus - the wide brim variety. Sunscreen isn't clothing, but should be treated like it this time of year...

Don't forget you'll have to complete your work assignments before you can bug out. Depending on the final run/work order you may be working before or after you drive...

Some of you guys may want to hang around for trophies - we trophy approx 50% of the class, so if there are 10 of your registered the first 5 will get trophies. The trophy 'ceremony' isn't so much about getting the trophies, it's about socializing, the last round of smack talking, and generally winding down the day. We do trophies as soon as all runs are complete and the trailer is packed up. Usually 4:00 or so.

 

also remember yall get a 10% discount at boomer jacks thats next to dukes in the same parking lot as chilis with the same menu just mention the scca race and barry the manager

 

Something about being able to drive the M and not the FX...

Oh you have to get there early for stand by. Should be room though.

 

The registrations closed at 3AM Saturday, because of the event this morning. There's only 99 registered (+ a few extras who'll show up), so there's still a long way to go until the maximum of 200. At least, that's what I gathered from browsing through the sites.

I should get there around 8AM, since I'll be busy in the morning.



Also, I think Jake and somebody else said that they have a y-pipe they're willing to give away. If one of you could kindly bring your stock y-pipe, I'd appreciate it.
