Pick up the 2006 Z roadster a month ago with intent to do some autocross. I know someone who runs his Lotus Elise with the Porsche Maverick Club. I went to watch one of their time trials, lots of Porsche, Miata, S2000, Corvettes, and a few others but I don't remember any Z's.

It looked fun, I don't think it was SCCA sanctioned.

Anyone participate in AutoX around here, looking to try it out but I have read over some of the threads and sites and it gets confusing, don't even know what class my car is in and what it competes with. I really don't care, just want to run it like it is and have fun. Only race type experience is doing the Nascar cars at Texas Motor Speedway, ran a legends car in a timed event, and drove my friends 2stroke racing gocart (mega G's). But I loved every bit of those events and can't wait to try it out.

Any info would be appreciated.

 

Well i live in little rock, but me and another z driver will be down there next weekend (11th) at Pennington field running with the Equipe Rapide (ER) group.

I've never been there but the other guy (Davidb on these forums) has. Good competiion level and he says the surface there is very high grip. You can google equipe rapide autocross and find out all about it.

 

Thanks, I looked it up. Looks like a good variety of cars. If you see a Silverstone roadster with orange vented seats when you are there, thats me. I need to check my schedule.

Pennington field is about 5 miles from me so I definitely have little excuse to miss this. My inspection has been out since June so I'll need to get that done sometime in the next few days. Haven't driven the car but maybe once since then.

 

When is the next pennington? i know there is a website... but it's much easier to just ask... did i already miss mineral wells?

i wont be participating until i get some replacement tires... but i'll go for video and photo coverage...

 

Well I just found that there were quite a few Z's back in aug at pennington. Me and another Z from arkansas are going to drive down and get a little setup time for the National Tour coming up in blytheville, ar.

I'll be there in a BSP Z and my buddy will be there in a STR 350z. So who all is going?

I have been to pennington twice...both in a GS mini cooper S (a red one). I hope to see some Z's out there. Who all is running in BSP and what is your setup

I'll be in BSP, but this is only my second time out so I'm not looking to place or anything. I'm more there to relieve some stress and have fun.

I still plan to be there. This will be my first event and my roadster is bone stock. Best I can tell I will be in "BS" class?
