Drifting: Alrighty folks, here we go again. If you don't know where this venue is, just go to maps.google.com and search for Mineral Wells Airport, TX. Click on the satellite pic and you can see where we play VERY clearly. The lot is HUGE, and we often hit speeds of around 100mph on entry. Everyone is welcome to come out and drive even if it is your first time. We have people to instruct you, and help you through your first day. Drivers meeting is at 9:30 am or slightly after, and we drive until around 4:30-5:30 pm. This is the last Mineral Wells date to practice before the LONESTARBASH comes to us in MAY.

Car Meet: Come hang out in a fun atmosphere with a bunch of people with cool cars. Ride along with the drifters, get some pointers, and be a part of the Texas scene. We regularly have some really cool cars out at Mineral Wells, and you don't have to worry about getting kicked out by cops or standing around without anything fun to do. Regular cars that attend our events include about 8 LS1 swapped import cars, 2JZ swapped cars, a V8 AE86, tons of turbo 240sx's, BMWs, 350Zs, etc. You will have fun! Bring a helmet so you can ride along with the drifters!

Media: We will be shooting some cars on Saturday before the event, and then again on the Sunday of the event. The photographer is looking for cool cars to shoot for blogs such as Motormavens.com, Speedhunters.com, Stanceworks.com, and many others. I have my brother in law, Cousin and a 2 friends all coming up from San Antonio with three 240's and one Z for this event. All staying at my place then following each other up to Mineral Wells in the morning!

If anyone needs help going out at stocking up on tires, hit me up and well go hit up local tire shops together...

I'm thinking we can all meet either at my house the early morning of April 10th and caravan out to Mineral Wells / And we will stop one more time and meet with anyone else at the same spot we met last time - Waffle house at IH-30 and 820 - West Ft Worth.

Just so everyone knows, mineral wells, TX is a small town, yes there are Mc Donalds, etc and stuff fairly close by......

What to Bring:
1. Bottled water
2. fold out chairs
3. dress accordingly for the weather.
4. sun block if its sunny
5. lunch if you dont wanna leave....

RESTROOMS - facility restrooms and even a shower are semi near by at the building shown, most usually drive to them as its a far walk. some peeps bring scooters, etc.....usually there are porta potties also within walking distance if you dont care to go to the building.

Holey carp! You drift Mineral Wells!?! That place ruins tires during a day of autocross! I'd love to see before/after shots of tires.

I've something planned for the 10th but if that falles through this'll be my 2nd stop.

 

Just remembered that this is the day after a dental operation, hope i feel up to coming... i'm just not having very good luck ATM with doctors and Z meets... lol

If i go, i wont be talking very much. probably not a bad deal for you guys.

 

UPDATE!!!

Early morning of April 10th we will caravan out to Mineral Wells!

We will meet with anyone else at the same spot we met last time at 730 am!!! LEAVING AT 7:45!! if your a little late, were gone! I myself with 4 others will be trailering cars with trucks! so you can catch up to us easily if you are running late....
