I wasn't going to post this event here due the distance, etc. until I read some Z32 guys from Dallas/Fort Worth were making the trip. If Z32's can make the trip, why not Z33's?
This is what I posted in other forums:
This has been discussed elsewhere but I decided to start an "official" Midwest Z Fest 2010 thread. A few details still need to be hammered out but here is what's been nailed down so far.
*Friday, September 3. Track day at Mid America Motorplex (MAM) just south of Omaha. This approximately 2 mile road course will tell you a lot about how well you and your car can perform. This course is flat with a LOT of run off room just in case you need it. Wink Watch the video under Track Day on the link below. It gives you a great view of the track. Here's the best part..The fee is only $100!! That's a great deal!!!
*Friday night, September 3. Drag night right next door to the road course. Fee is only $10.
*Saturday, September 4. Car show at Carter Lake. This is located just north of downtown Omaha. This should be a GREAT location and provide a lot of photo opportunities.
*Sunday, September 5. Cruise the scenic Loess Hills Bi-Way. This is a great drive on some great roads.
*Monday, September 6. Drag your tired bodies home.
The final details on the hotel and registration need to be ironed out and will be announced soon. I will post updates here or you can go to
http://zclub.smashwebs.com/.
I've got it on my calendar and I hope you do too.
UPDATE! Registration is now open! Remember...registering for the event is not the same as reserving a room at the hotel.

Heads up!! I just got word the hotel has extended the registration deadline to midnight, Tuesday, August 24 to receive the special Midwest Z Fest rate. Rooms may be available after that date but at a much higher rate-I'm guessing at least $20 a night more!!
Make that reservation now!!! More info at www.midwestzfest.com .
