There shouldn't be a reason why my car won't be back together in time for this. I am so pumped to finally get out there and see how I do.

Just do Y Class.. if your boosted or have r-comps - your in Z class..

Autocross #3, 5/14/11
Lone Star Chapter BMW announces Autocross #3 - May 14, 2011

Even if you've never tried autocross before, come on out at give it a try. Instructors are provided. Or, ask for a ride with an instructor to see if you might enjoy it. Rides with an instructor and admission are free!

More information can be found on the LSC BMWCCA website http://www.lscbmwcca.org/autocross-schedule.html, and if you want to drive in the event you must register. Cost is $25 for BMWCCA members, but non-members can register for $35 which allows you to try it out one time.

Registration for 2011 events will be 100% online. We will not accept payment on site! Online registration is available until 9PM the Thursday before each event and opens three Mondays prior to the event.


Tech Inspection
All participant vehicles must pass Tech Inspection on site.
Tech Inspection begins at 8am and will close at 9am.

Mandatory Driver's meeting at 9am.

First car will start around 9:30am.

Usually have 4 runs in the morning heat and 4 runs in the afternoon heat, per driver.

Rides in instructor vehicles are free. A helmet must be worn. There are loaner helmets available for those that do not own their own helmet. (Helmets must be rated M-2005 or SA-2005 or newer)

we all registered kinda late. three of us had our numbers taken since we didnt register early enough and three of us werent able to refister due to the event being full. they put those three people on a waiting list in case someone didnt show up the day of the event which happened and gword 256 got to drive but he had to use my car. he beat me by three seconds in my own car lol. now i cant blame my times on the car lol....... its all on the driver now.

 

Ouch @ 3 seconds. Funny, but ouch. It's all right, I'm probably going to be the worst one out of all you guys, so you're not last.

 

maybe or maybe not. ive learned that although it is fun to have a little competition amongst friends at these events, no matter how good or bad you do you always have fun and enjoying the car and what you are doing with it is what its really all about to me. getting better at it and beating your friends while you are having your fun is just a bonus lol. its like having your cake and eating it too at that point.

OK guys. I was just able to weasle out of my work meeting I had scheduled for this May 14. However, I absolutely have to be back in Flower Mound by 4:30pm for family obligations which means I'd need to leave this event by 3:00.

I definitely want to do it but would be terribly bad form to have to leave at that time? I don't want to tick anyone off or get a bad rep. What should I do? If I have to be working at that time could anyone cover a bit for me?
