Default PCA Time Trial #2 and Autocross #3 4/30-5/1 at Mineral

The Maverick Region of the Porsche Club of America is hosting their Time Trial #2 (4/30) and Autocross #3 (5/1) at Mineral Wells.

If you have not one of their time trials, then you are missing out. You get three or four sets of timed laps on a course that flows like a road course, so you will be in third and fourth gears rather than just second gear. In each set of timed laps, you will get one warm-up lap followed by three hot laps where you do not stop between each lap. These are a lot of fun.

Based on their normal rotation, they will likely use the following course for the time trial:

Just curious, but is it $35 per event or for both events?

How long does the time trials last ? Is it as long as an Auto-X day where you work corners and then switch classes/heats ... Basically all day ?

And can I do just the Time trials and not the Auto-X ?

Thanks in advance.

Here's what I know.

You can find the cost of the TT here under registration. I've never been so I don't know.

Also you can do the AutoX or TT or both. You'll have to pay for each individually.

Fithamoto you thinking about going to either? I might join you.

Edit: woops I wanted to post a link http://mav.pca.org/Events/AX.asp

I still haven't got new tires so I can cheer you on if you're going to the TT but I'll join you for an autoX.

I talked to a porsche guy last time and they actually take RV's and camp out there from Fri - Sun. The lot manager lets them stay there which is cool.

Anywho I might do the autox if anyone else is doing it. TT's scare me still - too much of a beatdown on my daily driver.

^ Why do you need someone else there? Just sign up!

There's a chance that I'll go, though.

I have done a few pca time trials. You will have a run group and a corner work group both in the morning and the afternoon. For your run group you will get three hot laps in a row and then clear the track, stage again and do another three laps. Then you will switch with the corner workers for their runs. An hour break for lunch and do it all again. You should get a total of 12 laps in all for the day unless the turnout is low and then they will run more if time permits. I hope to make it out but have to see how the family sched is lining up. PCA is a great group I know you'll have a good time.

Adam come on it can't be that much harder on the car than autocross. Maybe a bit but I wouldn't worry about it. I mean come in my car has 120k miles on it and I'm gonna do it lol. Watch that be the death of my z lol
