Houston, TX. 3/17/2012 Lonestardrift Round 1 @ GGP
First off, thank you everyone for making 2011 an awesome season. We had some amazing fan participation, and some amazing driver participation. We got to see Chelsea Denofa win the season and get his Formula D license, and raise enough sponsorship to run a full season of Formula D this year. No matter how much we all think we put into drifting, I don't think there is anyone around this area that puts as much time and effort into drifting as that man, it is his full time job. The calibre of car and driver got really high over 2011 as well, with some cars we all see as normal now being pro calibre just a few years ago. Take for example Stew's car, or Chelsea's car, or Will's car. There a bunch of others as well, but those really stand out in my mind. And I think this year we will see some more really aggressive stuff happen around here. Aaren Smith's Mustang is getting a lot of tube work done to it, and a lot of weight pulled out of it. Stew is part of the ASD Mob program, and with their direction and help I think he is going to do some amazing stuff with his car this year. So basically I am really excited for 2012 here in Texas, I think the level of drifting is going to get raised a good bit by the end of the year.
So, for 2012 we are going to be doing a full season again. We will be hosting both local practice days and the full blow series days, going to Mineral Wells, Gulf Greyhound Park, and Texas Motor Speedway with a few other venues scattered between. We will have lots of prize money again, great fans, great drivers.

We have some members off this site who drift 350z's at our events such as
Justin
Bryan
Kim
Shaun
Josh
and many others : )
Come check some of them out at the event, and bum a ride along. Everyone is super nice and friendly! Or, better yet, come slide your car along for fun. It is as safe or dangerous as you want it to be for your car. Crazy tandem with caged cars, or super safe single runs with nothing but cones to run over. We have instructors too, along with smiles.

If you do sign up, get with me and I will get an instructor in your car to help you out, and I am sure Justin would give you some help getting used to your Z, since he is an old hand at this by now. If you have any questions or anything, just ask!

^ haha no sir it's still black.. I'm tossing around my money between a few options, leaning more towards buying another NA miata ( amazing car to have ).
Last event was my first time around the track and this is ADDICING. I'm sure I will see you brandon, and many others soon to come more often
Stop me next time and chat? Or I shall do the same.
