Lone Star Chapter BMW Autocross #1 - March 4th, 2012 Mineral Wells Airpark

Registration is now open for the 2012 LSC BMWCCA AX #1 Sunday, March 4th, 2012.

Even if you've never autocrossed before, come on out at give it a try. Instructors are provided for novices, and people wanting to try the sport.

More information can be found on the LSC BMWCCA website http://www.lscbmwcca.org/autocross-schedule.html, and if you want to drive in the event you must register. Cost is $25 for BMWCCA members, but non-members can register for $35 which allows you to try it out one time.

Registration for 2012 events will be 100% online. We will not accept payment on site! Online registration is available until 9PM the Thursday before each event.

Tech Inspection:

All participant vehicles must pass Tech Inspection on site.
Tech Inspection begins at 8am and will close at 9am.

Mandatory Driver's meeting at 9am.

First car will start around 9:30am.

We will have 5 runs in the morning heat, and 5 runs in the afternoon heat. 10 total runs per driver!

Rides in instructor vehicles are free. A helmet must be worn. There are a limited number of loaner helmets available for those that do not own their own helmet. (Helmets must be rated M-2005 or SA-2005 or newer)

Man id love to be able to come atleast watch this to get an idea

 

If you've got the time then I would say just go out there and do ride alongs at least. It's free. Just bring a helmet. You'll love it and after the first run you'll be kicking yourself for not entering lol. That's what I did!

Definitely come out, people are happy to let you ride along. But, I would just sign up (35 bucks). We have all had a first time, then you wont drive home wishing you had signed up!

My first event I was 3rd from the bottom out of the all the cars but I still drove home with a smile.

 

Yes, definitely come out and see what goes on...you can probably catch a ride with one of us if you have a helmut....otherwise they have loaners, but you will have to buy a head sock for like $5 bucks.


Jake, you may want to bring a bag of shredded cheese for the chili dogs !

Anybody have like any food allergies or some religious view that keeps them from eating beef ?
Cause I plan on getting some decent tasting Hot Dogs....No turkey dogs unless a few want them.

If somebody wants chopped onion then somebody could bring it for the Chili dogs....or Jalapenos.

 

My problem is time. I'm flying to Cali Saturday to get my new bbk and drop off a pair of wheels. I have 5 helmets so that's not a problem. I have a clutch install on sunday but if I can make it out there I will. I'm actually working in mineral wells this wk for work.
