Nice set-up. Did they have trouble balancing them?

Because they used wheel weights on the outer lip. Plus it looks like there is adhesive residue in multiple places on the inner barrel.

I test fitted on my lex yesterday, for picture purpose only. The wheels and tires themselves have not rolled on any asphalt at all.

For track only you could put 285 on a 9.5 with no issue.....even up to a 305 would be alright for autocross (hoosiers).

thats the plan... for the front. Hence I want the rim but I want 10.5 out back. I dont want to run a square setup.

I have more power in my car so I prefer more meat out back/I prefer the RWD look, and its how I like the car.

I know there may be certain handling gains however I think they will be negligible to my driving ability/cars capabilities. I think the bigger rear will be more useful as well as suit my taste.

You theoretically want as much tire as you can get up front....at least IMO. 285/305 would be alright for you on R-comps, but any more of a stagger and the car will be an under-steering pile of poop......

thats my plan 285/305 I havent decided on tires just yet. Lots of research to do still.

Im not 100% sure if I want to jump to Rcomps just yet or stick with something around the level of star specs.

Problem is there are only a few top quality street tires in those sizes....no star specs in that size area. You will have to probably run the XS's (crap in my opinion) or RE-11's. The RS3's come in 285, but no 305.
