Well, the few pics that I took before my camera battery died are available Here

The video that I *tried* to shoot kinda flopped. I couldn't get the camera going in time to get anything but the last 5 cars....oh well.

good drive, well considering this was the first I've been on... We need some more roads like blueridge in our area.. Can't wait until winter is over!

Startertan - haha.. wasn't sure if you minded driving fast or not, but I figured since you kept up, you didn't mind! I wanted to really push it to the limit, but I figured 130 was fast enough.. hahaha.. I love driving with other cars around, so much more fun. Radar dectors are nice too

Finally got my pics up G/Z 12/11/04 Drive . Hope you all like.

The ride home was crazy! I don't mind driving fast AT ALL! I'm just glad we didn't get busted. I'm sure a few of those people we were weaving in and out of weren't too happy...but that's their problem. I'm glad you got the message when I started flashing my high beams.

On the way home I was going about 85-90 down I-70. I had a kid in an RSX Type-S and some weirdos in a Camry (the 2000 body style) following me. Eventually I just let them pass me and I followed them.

Great to meet everyone, I had a great time! I especially loved the twisties at Blue Ridge, there aren't too many roads like that around my way.

The length and route of the drive was perfect, considering the fairly short notice. INDECIS, nice choice on the destination (and thanks for having the navigation). kcobean, great job on leading, you're a true moderator. And vlm7, thanks for bringing up the idea of a drive on these boards.

I'll definitely be there for the next drive! BTW, nice pics you guys. The ones I took aren't that much different so I won't even post.

NOOOOO....I am definitely NOT looking at your 'winkie'....Not that there's anything wrong with your winkie....not that I'd know that there's not anything wrong with your winkie since I wasn't looking at your winkie....Not....Oh nevermind...Damnit! who took this picture??

The trip definitely was fun though...Must do that again soon (minus the taking pictures of Kelly NOT looking at Mike's winkie....)

I'll second the thanks to vlm7 for the great idea and to Alain for keeping us on track with the Navi. Without it we might still be looking for the vineyard!! (That's twice the technology in your car has saved my butt!

If we get a decently nice weekend in January, maybe we can put together a drive out for lunch at a restaurant in one of those little towns we passed through, or if people are up for something a tad longer, we could do a skyline cruise and finish up with a group dinner here in the area. What do you guys think? Sound interesting?

If you guys want to do something longer and along the same lines...in fact we go right on Blue Ridge, we can do the drive the Cap G Club did with the ZCCNV (Z Car Club of NoVA). It goes to this little town and we stopped for lunch. It was $20 for salad, entree, dessert, and tip.

Here's the route of where we went...
ZCCNV Drive

Or we can do this hardcore drive the IS300.net boys did. Never done it myself but it's suppose to be intense...
IS300.net Mountain Drive

If you guys do it in January do it early b/c I'm leaving for CA for 10 weeks on the 21st

just let me know when the next drive is, i will be there. I had a lot fun, still learning to drive the Z (only 3k after this weekend on it) and much different than by old '97 integra. if we do get a weekend in january that works out, i would be up for just about any drive we, i have done the skyline drive (maybe not the one suggested, but other ones) and it is not only awesome to drive, but the view is just a good. again great meeting everyone, and looking forward to the next drive.
