I just said hell with it and got mine done at Calif. Tint in great falls on Thursday...well they kinda squeezed me in. Well they did the job in 2 hrs....and the dot matrix windows in my G in the back...well didnt really stick. I also noticed a long wound up piece in the back window that looks a lil....lets just say off...they charged $180 and I had a few friends w/ luxury cars who tinted their w/ no probs. I honestly think my job was done poorly b/c they were trying to leave for new years and tried to finish my job to leave. They also could not tint the upper portion of the rear window where the dot matrix is, said id have to come back as they ran out of some film spefically for the dot matrix portion.....

Im supposed to go back today to get that part completed, but I think im gonna give them the car back to redue the rear window alltogether....

 

did mine at United Solar in Columbia. Mark is the owner, tell him allen sent you...he's done many Zs and g35s...i did 20% all around for $160...

 

Anyone have pics of their Z w/ 50% tint on all windows. I have always had tinted vehicles but I always had 35% all around. Just trying to get an idea of what 50% would look like and figure out if its too light or if I would go darker. Thanks.

I went with LA Tint in Alexandria. They quoted me $309 for my G35C, but it was for the Formula One ceramic tint, which is generally more expensive than the metal tint. They had also quoted me ~$170 to ~$250 for their cheaper tints. Also, I went with 35% all the way around. They didn't charge me more by going with the 35% on the fronts when the legal limit is 50%. They just said they wouldn't be able to honor the warranty on the tint. But I'm hoping if there are any issues with it, they'll forget that it's 35%.

The job was done a couple weeks ago and I haven't seen any bubbling or peeling as of yet. And it looks like they used one piece for the back, which I was impressed with. So far, I'm very satisfied with the job.
