Default Visiting Herndon....

wassup East coast folks!!
Visiting Herndon from Cali for work.
Anything interesting to do around here? Will be here until Friday.
Might try to stop by Evolution Autosports since they seem to be really close to my hotel.

Herndon is pretty close to Reston, which has Reston Town Center. Nothing particularly exciting about it, but a decent place if you just want a central location with some restaurants, a movie theater, etc. McCormick & Shmick has some happy hour specials. Close by, you can also check out Five Guys, which is the East Coast's answer to In-n-out.

Dominion Brewery, in Ashburn, just down the road.

Well, it 's all depend on what you're looking for but if you have time, D.C is just 30 minutes away in the evening. Just dont go during the inauguration day. They close all the roads.

thanks for the tips.
snow is coming down pretty hard today... If I get out of work early and the road condition isn't too extreme, might try to make it out to one of these places

What's up man? What's your schedule look like? I can probably run out to Evolution with you tomorrow if you want (we'll take the Navigator, not the Z!) They're not far away from you at all, and I'm only about 20 minutes away from Herndon.

Depending on your dinner plans tomorrow, maybe a few of us can hook up for dinner if the roads aren't to crappy. What do you think? We can't let the NorCal guy home without meetin' some of the local folks.

Who else is game?

It's a reference to when the dork cadets in Police Academy were sent to to the "wrong" bar by Mahoney and ended up dancing with the YMCA crew......Gotta use your imagination a little here, guys!

ya the area here is def. diverse...as a comedian once said 'in what other country can you see a white guy date a mexican girl, get pulled over by a black cop on their way to an asian restaurant??'

cali is sumin else though....always things to do around there...around here...the list becomes repetitive after about 2 weeks!!
