Hey Guys,
They have booked 104 rooms at Fontana Village Resort for the ZDayz event. There are no more rooms left at the lodge, only cabins, so if you're going and haven't gotten a room yet, we might talk about working out accomodations. Sounds like there is going to be a great turnout!

 

Well, I'm considering this event. Is anybody up for slumming it in a tent with a campfire, smores, and lots of beer?

 

Let's see...The woods of North Carolina in late spring in a tent next to my car.....I think I'll stick to the hotel room, thanks. You're welcome to use any space you can find in my hotel room. We can burn the desk to cook the smores, and we'll have a fridge for the beer!

 

The spring time in NC is beautiful Kellly, I am not sure why you would discourage this behavior...now the bears...that might be something to look out for. However I will be enjoying hopefully a comfortable bed

kcobean you said something about the richmond guys and meeting on I-81 I can make it to 81 in under a hour. meet you guys around staunton right off one of the exits. 4am or what ever works for me.

Lol im not sure when we are meeting...but toby im sure we can meet you on 81 somewhere, we are most likely meeting somewhere off of 66, i think Fair Lakes parking lot would be good, alittle down 66 eneough so people dont have to back track or anything...if u know what i mean...the topic is still up in the air so if u have any suggestions post'em up...

Yep, I concur with Ben on this one. I think we should meet far enough up 66 that everyone is moving in the right direction to get to the meeting point. It's going to be so early in the morning that asking people to go out of their way to reach a rendezvous point doesn't make much sense. That said, Fair Lakes, or even some place in Manassas right off of 66 might be a good answer. Since that constitutes a fair bit of driving for many people, we might meet there are around 5 or 5:30 AM and then head on as a group around 6:00.

Toby, we wouldn't be passing the Richmond connecting routes on 81 until later in the morning, so we could certainly plan something and you'll get to sleep a little later than the rest of us poor shmucks.

Anyway, I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a phone list for the group just to lessen the chances of us all getting split up or missing each other.
