got hit a couple weeks ago by a traffic camera on MacArthur Blvd in DC. I was pretty pissed because it was my second ticket that day (driving down from NY - got nabbed on the jersey turnpike going 82). Well, I received my notice today and it says in big fat bold letters WARNING NOTICE . I was going 48 in a 25 - so while it wouldn't add any points, it still would have been $150 fine.
*disclaimer - these were my first offenses since 2001. I was driving down from NY and hit tons of traffic, so by the time I made it down to the DC area I had been driving for almost 10 hours and was quite pissed off.

wait a second...the traffic camera clocked your speed? did u run the red light or was your speed clocked? cause if the cameras are clocking speeds now...this could be dangerous could u get a pick of the ticket up by any chance??

They have both speed and red light cameras in DC now. The Metropolitan Police Department Web siite actually provides a map of locations. Go here http://mpdc.dc.gov/mpdc/site/default.asp and click on the Traffic Safety link on the left. You can read all about both types.
