That's what I thought about metallic tint.

I don't care if it takes four hours as long as it looks right.

For a quality job it will take around 1-1.5 hours. Keep in mind you have to clean the windows, size the tint for all the windows, and then apply it. As we all know there are 5 windows on the Z to be tinted and getting them all applied will take and hour to an hour and a half. I do agree with the post above. Those with moded electronics could notice some degraded receptions and functionality.

1-1.5 hours is way too long, but it depends on the experience of the tinter. Im a tinter and have been doing it for about 8yrs and my partner has been doin it for 15+yrs. An hour is still too long. We can easily tint a Z (mostly flat glass which requires minimal to zero shrinking) in about 30 mins start to finish and maintain the highest quality of workmanship. With the both of us working on it, it will take us about 15-20 min. The G35 though is different since the rear window requires quite a bit of work to be done properly. For a G35 you can add another 15-20 min.

I had mine done at 35%. Just so happened, while I was having mine done, the shop was doing several State Police cruisers. I asked the cop that was there waiting, how dark I could go before he would pull me over and he said that a 35% on my car, with black interior, that he wouldn't bother pulling me.

That's one cop out of how many though? I'd personally rather not risk it and then go through the trouble of getting it removed, paying fines and going to court. I bet if he were a Fairfax Cty cop he would tell you something different.
