Default any recommendations for NoVA traffic attorneys?

my roomate recently got a ticket for 65 in a 30mph zone. That is a reckless driving charge in NoVA. Any good traffic attorney recommendations? TIA

Dave Albo of Albo & Oblon in Arlington <http://www.albo-oblon.com/>. He is a former prosecutor and a member of the Virginia House of Delegates. Good, aggressive lawyer. Good luck.

ha, not for another year at least. However, from what I gather it is not really what you know but rather who you know in the traffic courts. Thanks to all that have responded with recommendations. I have forwarded them all to my roomate. Wish him luck.

any recommendations for decent/not pricey counsel?? I got a RD ticket in herndon on dranesville road supposedly doing 52 in a 25 but i was going around 45mph. Cop used one of those mobile speed detector things on the side of the road that flashes your speed to clock me as when I passed him I had slowed down a good amount (45ish). He was a d!ck as he wasnt trying to hear anything just wanted to pass on the ticket. No way am I making excuses as i take responsibility for it, but I have a clean record (no prior tickets). This is my first traffic offense and I was surprised the officer wasnt willing to lower the charge to just speeding. Anyways, anyone know of a lawyer or attorney who wont charge an arm/leg?? I was hoping to go myself w/o an attorney since i have a prior clean record but some jail/suspension stories have started to worry me. I just wish if I had a reckless it wasnt for going 52mph but rather going 120, b/c 52 seems so small regardless of the speed limit!

Any advice is appreciated guys!!

thanks...

You should use my lawyer, gotten me out of a million jams also has helped out several of my close friends. PM me for details.

PS: He's not the cheapest guy in town.

52 in a 25?...Better take it seriously (gotta love FFX) regardless of your driving history IMO. Telling the Judge you were doing 42 ain't gonna help much either. Look up Michael Cantrell in FFX if you need a great lawyer...good luck.

I spent $1k for my Reckless Driving charges. But reduced to traffic violation of 2 points. Took the safe driving class online and got +5 points. Now, I have no worries.
BTW, I hardly speed anymore.

Good luck, but I don't recall any cheap lawyers in NoVa that are any good anyways.

haha ya seriously!! let me know when/where!! im hearing mixed things in regards to taking the class. some say to take the class b4 court date which makes u look good, others say wait as the judge will sometimes require you take the class during his 'sentencing' (ex. take the driving course and your ticket drops to improper and only 3 pts ...just an ex). so im not sure whether to take it b4 or after...only can take it once a year....

either way let me know!!

Wven for my first offense EVER in Decemeber, my lawyer said they wouldn't drop my speeding ticket if i took driving school because Fairfax County is pretty mean. I'm going to ask him if he thinks it will help in this case.
