Mike, why don't you drive that beauty over here and we can do a detail session....You game? We can work either in the garage or driveway. I'll pull the bikes and stuff out so we have lots of room. We can crank up some tunes and make it shine!!!

Kelly,

I'm not ready to use this tool on a fine machine like a Z yet. I want to practice on my POS truck.. even though it not supposed to be able to 'burn' paint.. I'd like to experiment on some paint that already looks like hell.

Its either the truck.. or Juans paint.. I figure I can't make either look worse

After I practice with it a bit.. I definatly have NO PROBELM bringing this beast over to your place and doing a detail session.

As a matter of fact I think that we should have a group detail session. Everyone meets up at someones house, brings thier prefered supplies, and we all go to town. I can show proper detailing methods to some of my Z brethren.
Maybe I can contact my guy at Meguiars and see if he cant send me out a case of NXT samples for those that are not "Hooked on Zaino".

Lowes... $99.00

I think that they are clearing them out, and not carrying them anymore.

I saw them on amazon for $120ish.

Retail is $180.

I like that idea. I'd be down for that sometime. Maybe we can do a side-by-side comparison of NXT vs. Zaino .

I would definitely be down for that...just let me know when and I will be there.

We can do this at my house. I have the garage, and I also have a big 10'x10' canopy that a car or two can get under. We have hoses, wash buckets, A big fridge we can fill up with beer/sodas, etc. and I'm on a cul-de-sac, so we can 'occupy' the middle of the road without concern. We could do this before HIN if folks want to.

kelly,

if you can fix up my car, i'd make love to you. my swirls are disgusting. i have the 7424 and sonus pads as well as the waxes, swirl mark removers, towels, zaino, etc...i think i just suck at it

for some reason i could clean my bro's dark blue 2.5 RS just fine, but when it came down to my car...i couldn't take it any more. i gave up.

This sounds like a hella good plan to me. I'll contact meguiars and see if I can get us some goodies. Lets start planning a date, etc. I was not able to play with my porter-cable this weekend because we have a new addition to the family... Julie and I have a brand new daughter... her name is Murano. I'll post pic's later on that.

I'm guessing Julie will be providing daily (driver) care for your new daughter?

I have tons of Meguiars products you guys can use. I also have Zaino and a Porter Cable 7424 and I even have a new Sears 220 MPH blower if you want to try drying your car off with it. The next two weekends I'll be out of town, so anytime after that I should be good.

Sure thing, as long as it's on a weekend I'm not busy. I don't have to many free weekends because the wedding planning is taking most of them up.

Maybe we can shoot for Sunday, June 12th? My kiddo's b-day is the 11th, and I have family in town the following weekend (or two...). HIN is on the 25th, so the 12th is the last weekend day that is a possibility for me. What do you guys think? We maybe could do it next weekend if that's not too soon for people to gather what they need. I personally need to get some Zaino ordered before there's anything for me to do. The car got washed immediately after ZDayz and hasn't been driven since. Of course, I have to get my darn side-skirt fixed, too.

Let me know what you guys think.

Any time before HIN works for me. Besides. .. if we detail the cars pretty good.. then most folks will only need to maintain thier cars till HIN. Mine will be parked in the garage as soon as I do my final detail on it .. hopefully with no dents and new graphics

I'm excited about this.. so .. I'll start the role call.

1) Kelly .. (host)
2) Mike .. (Detailing guide)
