Capital 350Z / G35 Club update:
A few people have asked what's goin' on with the club, so here's an update:
The bi-weekly organizational meetings have basically ceased since people stopped showing up. That being the case, here's what we're going to do. I'm going to hand out registration forms for the club at the Evolution meet on the 27th. I will also post this registration form on the club website (www.capital350zclub.com) so people can download it and fill it out later.
Annual dues for the club will be $35, and membership will include a shirt of some sort with the club logo on it and a window decal. Payment methods will be detailed on the form, but no money will be accepted at the meet unless you're writing a check or have exact change. Any money that may be left over from membership dues will go towards things like a club calendar and spot cards so that we can attract additional members. Any leftover funds after that will be used to support club activities. I will track the membership dues and handle the money on behalf of the club, with full disclosure to whomever wants it at any time, unless someone else cares to step forward and take this role.
We will have a monthly get-together probably in Tysons Corner since that is somewhat central to where a majority of the people live. Location and date/time TBD. If you have suggestions post them here....Majority wins.
As a member, you are encouraged to either organize or at least suggest and be willing to help organize an event like a group drive, detail-day, weekend BBQ, fun-run, DIY-day, etc. The club will be as active as its' members wish it to be. As far as club perks, we can work on those over time, but for now, fellowship with your Z-brethren and a club affiliation at shows, etc. is what's in it for you.
We've got something on the calendar event-wise for Aug., Sep., and Oct. If anyone has suggestions to get us through the end of the year, let me know, we can get it on the website calendar.
If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, shoot me a PM, or post here. My goal is to just get our name out there and hope we have enough enthusiastic people that our calendar stays full, and our presence known in the import community. ZCCA has a club listing that we should be on, and Sport Z Magazine does a "feature club" article in their magazine every quarter. I believe the Capital 350Z / G35 Club can grace their pages in the next year with a great start and good membership numbers out of the gate.
Look forward to seeing you all at Evolution on the 27th.

I will be there with $35.50 hehe but really maybe we could start thinking about a fall drive to sky line drive when the leave are starting to turn, maybe even a chance to get some photos that we could use in the calendar.
Or even a trip as a club to the super tuner show in NOV down my way?

I really want to see this club come to life. I'll be at the meet with my$35.0.
Regarding the Skyline Drive Fall Drive and the calendar, I posted my thoughts on the club website: http://www.capital350zclub.com/index...=viewforum&f=6

Awesome plan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant wait to be your newest memeber
Guys I am on my way out for a car show and also having log in problems on the club site. But just a few thoughts on the proceeds I think breast cancer would be a good thing to donate to seeing as me and my wife are battling it every day right now.
Also if enough of us show up at EVO maybe after everything is done we can get a nice group photo of our cars for the front page of the calander?

Kelly,
Great ideas and we are lucky to have you driving this forward at this point. I know a lot of us are very busy, as most people are in the DC area, but if we can call try to find a little bit of time to put something into the club it will do really well.
My travel plans are on hold at the moment and given as I do not have any work, I am up for trying to help in any way I can.
Hope to catch up with you all soon.
Regards,
Brent

The EVO meet would be a good time to get a group photo, as well as individual photos, only if Kelly is willing to drive around with some of us to get some shots for the calendar.
The registration form is now available on the club website....can't miss it, front page.
You can download the form, and instructions are included on where to send form/payment. If you want to fill out the form and bring it along with your payment to the Evolution meet, feel free to do so (again, if you're paying cash, exact change only please
). I included an option for a 2-year membership at a slightly discounted rate, so you have that option.
As soon as we have enough registrations to place the order for shirts and window decals, we'll get that done...In the meantime, we still need some good logo ideas, so all of you artists get crackin' and send your submissions (preferrably in a scaleable format, or just .jpg or .tiff or .png with a couple different sizes.)
See you on Saturday!
