What suspension setups do you have here in the Mid-A?

I'm trying to decide on what setup to go with. At the moment i'm leaning towards RS*R ti springs with tokico d-spec shocks and stillen or hotchkis sways. I've been going back and forth regarding spring/shock vs. coilovers. I don't know if I really need or will utilize the adjustability of coilovers (never messed with the c/o's on my last car beyond the initial install), but the idea of matched spring/shocks is appealing. However, I'd like to get a feel for different suspension setups beyond reading reviews on the forum before I commit to anything or go crazy.

coilovers oare over priced for what u get in my opinion. if u pick the right springs, sways, and struts/shocks than the only thing u are missing is the adjustable height. but if u think thru how low u really want to go than u souldnt have to worry about raising the car back up or bringing it down. i have the tockico struts/shocks, hotchkis springs, and nismo sways for right now.

i actually would rather not lower the car at all... but the 0.6" drop that the RS*R's provide is almost inconsequential. I still have nightmares about getting my front lip repaired and repainted every couple months on my old car from scraping on every driveway imaginable. I even ripped the front bumper off once exiting a Dunkin Donuts parking lot.

I have JIC coilovers, and after recently adding some meaty tires, I like them 10X better. My cars cornering limits are so high now, its way to dangerous to take corners at the limit on the street. No body roll at all, thats why I cant decide if I should even add sways or not.
If you dont want to lower the car at all, get a nice set of shocks along with some Hotchkis springs. I have read nothing but good reviews, and along with their sways, which are very affordable provide good ride, slight drop 1"< and handle well. If you even wanted to you could even use your stock shocks with them(they were designed for them), the rear spring rates are slightly softer than stock, and front slightly stiffer. Its supposed to get rid of the annoying Z bounce stock. But of course with a nice set of shocks you cant go wrong.

i got the tein flex coilovers....i wanted them since day one....overall impression...sweeeeeeetttt.....i drag race ALOT...my car would launch so hard off the line, the E-Brake Light would come on the instrument cluster,....I can take turns at unbeleivable speeds....anyone know the ramp from 66 East to 495 South?.....The long stretch of a ramp...i am able to take that ramp over 100+mph now....i love the ability to adjust the dampening and the ride height is somewhat fairly easy to adjust...just take the wheels off basically...but really....you get what you pay for...if you willing to spend 1500+ go coilovers...if u want springs and want the lowered look and somewhat better handling...go with the hotchicks stage 2 i beleive, very nice kit

I dont want to lower the car, so no springs for me.

yeah, I'll be doing the install myself. I agree with you about the stillen sways. Searching on the board I've seen nothing but good reviews and they are the same price as the Hotchkis, so the collars are a plus even though people say it is not really necessary.
J, since you are going to install, do you know what is needed for the install, how long will it take, etc? Also would you mind if I join in or do mine as well, I am definitely mechanically inclined. I have a garage if that helps at all.
