New guy here, just bought a 05 black Z and lovin it. A little about my self, I live in Springfield VA and work at Ft. Belvoir army base. Only mods so far is K&N panel filter, so far....I have big plans for this car and with the help of you all I hope to learn alot. If any one is near to the vicinity of me or my work I wouldn't mind getting together for a lunch meet and check out other Zs. My former car was a turbo mazda rx-7 (which I will miss) but nothing I have driven comparesto this car! Thanks for checking out the thread, hope to meet some of you soon. BTW any one else work at a base or military?

Good to meet you. I am sure you will love this car. It is a great platform to base your future plans on. I am sure you will find a number of current/former military guys here. (Count me as one) Not sure how many are currently working on base though.

Kelly, Mike and a number of others on these boards can really provide you with a lot of hard earned knowledge of what has been tried (and what others are hoping to achieve in the future) with their rides.
Good luck with your mods and more importantly.... Have Fun with it....

I'm a former Corporal of Marines, enjoying the Civilian life. What is it that you do at Ft. Belvoir? I've been down to the Hospital for business before. If I recall, they do alot of NBC work there.

Hey Mark, WTTC! I was stationed at Ft. Belvoir for four and a half years, specifically as a helicopter crew-chief at Davison Army Airfield. Gotta love it!

What trim level Z did you get, and most importantly, what are you MOD plans for the beast? Winter is the perfect time for your car to receive "upgrades" so you can greet Spring with a bang!

Anyway, if you get a chance, you HAVE to check out the final Mega-meet of the year. Make sure to get there on time as the lot will fill up fast. My car will be in the RedlineMax booth, stop by and say hi. Hope you can make it.

Welcome dog! I live on Ft. Belvoir. If you've ever been to the hospital, the houses right by it has an LS Z parked in the parking lot. That's mine. Let me know if you want to go to the November Mega Meet. I can show you how to ge there. There's a few Z's here on post, but I only know one of them and he's selling. I'm sure I'll see you around on post sometime, flash me down if you see me (only LS on post that I know of). Peace.
