Default Intermediate and Advanced drivers only

DISCLAIMER: The Capital Z/G Club will not be responsible for driving behavior which will result in accident, loss of life, damage/total loss to your cars...etc. The club and poster will not be responsible for anything. Do this drive at your own risk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Intermediate and Advanced drivers only - Date: TBA
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I did this drive last Saturday and it was definitely well worth it. And would like to organize one for the Capital Z/G Club:

Okay so there's a couple of us on this board that love the thrill of driving. So Stanton was nice enough to find us this info. Please check out the route details below. Who is down? I know I can count on a few heads....

1.) Lek
2.) Puria
3.) Devon
4.) Arjunz

I'd like to set this drive before the skyline drive meet. I'm thinking maybe the weekend before skyline drive? Either Saturday 12th or Sunday 13th. Who's interested?

This was copied from the clubprotege website:

****CAUTION**** Intermediate and advanced drivers only****

The entire route has been scouted by Wino_II and turnip8snatch in a highly modified vehicle (turbo, suspension, and brakes). Please be aware that the route taken during the entire trip is very difficult and requires serious attention under high speeds and cornering.

We took 5+ hours to drive the entire route. The actual meet may tke longer so schedule your day and gas stops accordingly. There are 3 stages to the meet and 2 points in which drivers can drop off the route if need be to head home in fear.

Default Here's the write up I did about the drive:

Recap: Intermediate and Advanded Driver's Only Drive

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright gotta say much thanks for the guys that braved it out today. I'm sure I can say we all had a blast. Great driving experience today. Big Props goes to Devon for leading the pack and doing a great job at navigating/watching for cops/and just leading LOL. I think what made the drive great was because no one was trying to out do the next guy. Everyone was respectful to one another. Now on to the DRIVE!!!

Time of Departure: 10:15am
Time of Arrival (in front of my house): 5:30pm

There was something for everyone:

Long sweeping corners going about 80-90mph...
- I always enjoy this type of road because it reminds me so much of certain parts of skyline drive and basically IMO lets the g35 really open up with handing and power simutaneously. Devon this is the part where I was sorta driving too close to you LOL

Twisties in deserted boonies residential areas....
- Definitely not anyone's favorite....but you really can't find anything like this around our area. I definitely slowed it down out of respect for the residents and in the case some kid runs out into the middle of the road.

Rollercoaster style roads which if you drive over 70 you'll basically launch the car into the air...
- This is by far the part I hate the most. I know the three other guys enjoyed it a lot. I'm not a big fan of rollercoasters and dont like the feeling of having my ***** fly up into my throat... Sorry Pat, I know I was keeping you back on one of the roads that was like that...

Tiny road in with a bunch of twisties with a capital "T". Probably the most dangerous part of the whole trip. Devon kept an eye out for oncoming cars and we were able to avoid them. The road was basically a good sized road for one car... but it was a two way road....no lane divider.... no lines.... one side is rocks.... the other side is a cliff. You figure it out....
- I loved this road. Made the trip worthwhile. Tight blind corners on a road that was more suitable for the WRC.

The drive itself was about 5 hours... we barely got lost...maybe off directions by overshooting a turn but we busted a couple of u turns and was back on our way. I think that last long road....23miles? I think that was more of an "endurance" than anything...cause I was getting tired and annoyed by that point! LOL HAHAHA

Thanks guys...(Devon, Dehj, Pat) great time great time.

LOL you didn't really miss anything...this is the first time it's being offered on this site. I organized one for the National G Club which took place last saturday. I'm offering to organize the same drive for members of the Capital z/g Club. I've gotta say though... it's a drive of a lifetime.

Sorry just got back from the STS. My mistake misunderstood the post. Hey, I would be up for this. Keeping in mind that the weather is getting cooler and tires are not sticking quite as much.... Hoping to make the 'Test & Tune' at MIR of the 20th. Would be up for the 19th, after that I might have to call it a day. Busy through Dec and then car goes in shop for some time... Lots of winter mods to make now....

^^ haha definitely. I usually run my tires at a bit lower PSI for some extra grip. Then again we have completely different tires.... mine are Michelin Pilot Sports. The temperature drop doesn't bother me as much because I actually like how the car reacts to the lower temps. If people is interested I'm definitely open to do this drive. I know a couple of the g guys are definitely down. We actually have a drive planned for Skyline Drive on the 19th with about 34 cars already signed up. If you would like to make it out to that you're definitely welcomed to. I know of atleast 2 z's that will be coming, a Z06, and a couple of Evo's from the DC evo club.

^^ I'm trying to push for Sunday but its up to everyone to decide the date. If there's a specific day... like saturday or sunday that you guys want to do then thats fine as long as the majority agrees to it.
