The county has been working on completing MD43 (south of MD40) for a year, and it still isn't finished. Earlier today I’m driving in the White Marsh area and notice a sign reading Closed Except to Local Traffic. I went around the cones and cruised the new road at 45 mph (speed limit). Beautiful smooth asphalt, two lanes one way, grassy medium and long smooth curves for a couple of miles. The Local Traffic sign is strange because there are no intersecting roads (where does local traffic come from?). I made a u-turn at the end, and back gain at 60 mph. I figured that this is like having your own speedway, and cruised north and south at 80 mph. 80 is comfortable because you can use both lanes to straighten the corners.
So my last pass I make a u-turn and noticed a BMW 330 sitting and waiting for me. This is going to be fun! The BMW and I went side-by-side to about 80 mph a couple of times, then the Z began to pass. I think that the BMW had more horsepower, but the driver ran out of nerve. Several times I could see the BMW brake lights ON in the turns. Why I don't know.

Glad you didn't get a ticket. I think I need to work more on my rapport when the police stop me because I've never gotten out of a ticket. Luckily I don't get them too often.
