Default An AWESOME DC/Maryland Performance Shop

Maryland Nissan Performance.

Listen up, for Z owners in the MD/DC area I have found an AWESOME performance shop. It happens to be the same place I bought my new Z back in 04. The name of the shop is Frederick Nissan. I will have to admit I have had some sick cars in my time but these guys are putting out some incredible work. The owner of the dealership has a passion for Nissan performance and has to his name a few Skylines, Sylvia’s and some sick 350’s. Not only are they fast as all get out but they have some killer body work and custom painting that is nothing short of an art form. Talk to Arthur Williams in the body shop. Check out the pics below.

I will be posting pics of my ride when its done in a couple weeks.

Frederick Nissan
880 North East Street
Frederick, MD 21701

I live 3-4 miles from them. I actually bought my SE-R from them four years ago...its a stealership though not a performance shop. That 350Z is an auto and riced out on the inside...they have been trying to sell it on eBay for years now...for like 60K!

I hate that dealership. Thier service department is the worst I have ever experienced. There was a fight every time I went in there to have something fixed. "Uh, you modified the car by replacing the rims, we can't cover your broken transmission."

Good luck with your car and their service department. Watch out for Tom Hardy i think his name is, I think he is the supervisor/manager of the dept. Biggest "I know everything possible about every Nissan made because I work in the service department" kind of guy I have ever met.

Eh, I dont deal with the service shop much just the performance side of them and custom installers. I must say everytime I have had my Z serviced I have received nothing but top notch service.
No matter where you go with service you can always have a bad experience somewhere or another. The dealership is under new ownership, Mr. Hickman as really turned the place around a lot.
I had a car I took to a Fitzgerald Shop and they put a hole in the rear and told me it was my fault and I was blaming them for it. Long story short that service manager was fired at the Fitzgerald automall and my old car got fixed.
Sorry about your luck.

Every now and then Frederick Nissan builds and sells a 350Z on eBay. I have only seen the photos, but it appears that that know what they are doing.

BTW do you know if they hold and 350Z events? Meets? Cook out?

They will keep your warranty as long as you get the work done at their shop. I am sure there are some exceptions. Talk to the owner Mr. Hickman or one of the sales guys they will hook you up with the answers you need.
Not a bad idea about the BBQ and or meet I will talk to them about that this monday when I drop off my Z for body work.

My Zed is there right now too.. Gene is a damn good guy.. I can't WAIT to pick her up.

They are repairing a dented door (no thanks to a cute girl backing up and not looking)

Custom builing a cage

and installing my Tilton.

I think that Gene is going to start doing some Z meets.. maybe once he is in the new location.. his current lot does not have allot of room for a bunch of Z's.

They had a meet/car show thing last summer. Thats when they launched this whole performance deal. The whole parking lot was full of Skylines, 240s, Zs, etc. They had hot dogs and food and crap.

See, I have no dealings with the performance shop, only the service shop which I think sucks

Even so, being as I drive past it everday on the way to and home from work everyday I frequently stop by and check out the Zs. The day is getting near

Cool Bobby... what are you planning on getting? Drop in there and talk to the performance guys and see what they have done. You will be so freaking giddy after seeing what they are capable of. I am thinking we should all roll up there one day and drop in. Get a group together and park lot across the street... who's bringin the hot chicks... car wash anyone?! LOL

I'm looking into a base or an enthusiast. Everytime I go in there though they always have the same colors, no ppw, no silversone which would be my top two choices. I keep hasseling them about not getting those colors

Where in Frederick do you live? Grow up around here?

Nope not from around here just stuck here for now. Are you going to have anything done to your Z when you get it? I am sure they can work it into your financing! Makes it seems easier to swallow that way paying them off over time.

LOL For some its easier to finance I am not talking 1 or 2k but like 10k... doing it right the first time from day one as long as you plan on keeping the car and not getting rid of it anytime soon.
S: What are you having painted? I am trying to figure out something to have done as well. Right now my body work is totaling about 4k so I am focusing on that.

They may do good work but they a$$ rape people. I called about a simple clutch/fw swap and they told me $1000 for labor I got it done for $500-I did find cheaper than that even, but I took it to a reputable shop and paid accordingly. I hope they include KY Jelly and a complimentary reach around with any service they provide.

Sounds like "Unique Whips". Seem like places like that boost the price cuz of their status. Thats some bullchit Waldo!!
I did see a couple of those same cars at FedEx field last summer.
