So how are these guys with painting a car? I have been looking for someone to paint the entire car and get rid of a few dings here and there.

Anyone else you guys would recommend in Hagerstown or Frederick?

Interesting. Mike, do you know where is his new location in Frederick will be?

I think a Z meet at this dealership would be great. Not to far away for the D.C. people and not to far away for us out West.

I've some painting and minor body work needs, along with a clicking axle....

Yeah those guys up there are AMAZING for lack of better words. Spread the word to your friends... no matter what car they have I am sure the boys there can make it nothing less than stunning.
As for the clicking noise... good luck the parts are on back order through Nissan. I have the same problem and it’s been months now. They will have my car for 2 weeks while the modifications to the body are being done hopefully they will get the parts to the axel soon.
What type of body work are you having done to your car? Do you have a kit in mind yet?

Well.. I went and checked on my car yesterday, met WhtZ05 (Juan?). My GOD they did an UNBELIEVABLE job repairing my door. They blended the paint thru both fenders (more than I expected) and I can not tell! [You guys know how much of a stickler I am on paint]. I took a few pictures of my car.. but left my camera at home.. so.. I'll post them up later tonight.

Hopefully I will have her back by this weekend

As far as the new location... I'm not sure.. I think that it will be located near all of the other car dealers in Frederick (right now he is located on the other side of town)

The new location is off of Grove Road right across from Auto Trim and Design... looking forward to seeing the new place. I wonder if they will have everything on the same lot, custom shop and all?

Hey Mike

Do they do anything different with the paint to make it stronger and not chip as much. The factory paint as everyone knows sucks bawlz. I just dont want to spend the money to get it repainted and have it all chip up again. Worse paint i have ever had on any car i have owned.

Not sure if they can. I think that allot of newer cars are running into the same thing as the Z's. Recent changes in the chemistry of the paint (removal of carcinogens) have caused paint to be more 'brittle' because of how the resin cures. I dont have any hard facts or articles to link.. just going off what I heard.

Honestly.. its not hard to remove the front bumper cover.. you could remove it.. bring it to a paint shop and have it painted from less than the cost of a clear bra. ...just a thought..

I don’t think you will find much supporting articles about the paint being brittle that would cause a recall on paint jobs. If you remember back in the late 80’s and early 90's GM had that problem and had to repaint a crap load of cars, it was quite expensive for them. My front could use a re-spray though which they are going to do when they put the new front lip on. The guys at Frederick Nissan blend very well so if you are in the area think about going to them.
