Default ****ing Pot Holes

I was in Baltimore yesterday and I hit this pot hole, at first I didn't think it was that bad. Until last night I was cleaning my car in the garage, and ****!!!! my front rim has a bend in it. I'm stopping by yieldwheel on my way home today. I hope this can be repaired!

I'll take a picture of the damage and then I'll post the finished work. Hopefully it will be flawless.

Typically you can make the city responsible for the damage. I blew a tire and bent a rim on a freeway here in California and put in a claim (with pictures) with CalTrans (state organization that is responsible for maintaining roads). I was sucessfull in getting a new tire and a new rim paid for.

It is usually a bit of a hassle, but it may be worse it. Good luck.

Thanks that's good advice. I'll look into that. So I wonder would MDOT(Maryland Dept. Of Transportation) be equivalent to CalTrans.

Please don't say replaced I wasn't down town.I was on Rolling Road. bad thing I saw the car in front of me swirv, but I guess I was to close to him because as soon as he swirved a second later BAM! I immediately turn down the music and listened for the air leaking out of the tire. I didn't hear anything so I was like "cool".

I said "replaced" in the event that you follow the lead of Yellow Stealth and try to have the city pay.

Just got back from talking to the guy at the shop and he said that he can straighten it but it will probably leave a mark, so he could polish the entire lip but it won't be the same as the other wheels and I would have to polish it every week or it will start fading because they don't have the machine to repair the lip like the large companies. another option would be to just polish the area where the mark will be and I'll only have to polish that spot once a week. Sad thing is that I will have to drive on the stock track rims for 3 weeks.

You can take it where I'm taking mine. It's called Yield wheels in located On RT.1 in Elkridge.

Are your tires stretched? I bent 2 wheels like that until I got new tires. I would suggest new tires with a wider profile.
