I was on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge when my number came up. <---STUPID.The ignorance of "youth" I suppose. Maybe a good meeting place would be the VB Town Center off Independence Blvd. For a VB area spot anyway. Some good places to eat there, and free covered parking even! Also a prime spot for some neat nighttime pics

As long as we dont have anyone acting like 16 year old with a base model civic, we shouldnt have any problems. Seems we may have something going here.....

ok, get some more name ideas out. When I get home tonight I am going to set up a poll so we can decide on what we are going to go with. The sooner we get that decided the easier it will be for me to make contact with more orginizations to set up discounts and stuff like that for club members.

Thanks guys, I think this club will be a big success.

do not want issue's with other clubs then (Z) may have to stay out of the club name. My 2 cent's

John, et al
You may have crossed this bridge already but there already is an established Z club, Tidewater Z Car Club. A member left a club business card on my windshield a few days back. If you are interested I could pm you thier phone number.

Yeah, we addressed the issues of why we need a new "fresh" approach to a Z club in the area. As you may have read in this thread many people whom are/were members of the tidewater Z club are very unsatisfied with the way the club operates.

I am trying to establish a new type of club that would have a lot of fun things to do, that a wide variety of people would be interested in. Most of the establish Z clubs throughout the country are the older generation of Z owners and they are very set in their ways. My old club in San Diego for instance. Their idea of a great time was going to a museum. When I brought up the prospect of holding a Z car show I was basically made to feel stupid. Most of the people that own 300/350Z/G35's that are interested in a club would be very happy to have a car show so they could take pride in their cars.

I am ranting now so I will stop. I do want to say thank you to everyone for their support with this and I am sorry it is taking me so long to get things rolling, I have a lot on my plate with school/wife deploying to Iraq/Mother just had a Stroke/etc/etc/etc. I am trying to get all the names added into the e-mail list. and get a date for the first meet set-up so we can vote on some of the issues like (Club name), (Club Officers), (dues or no dues), (events)---I would like to set-up a dyno day soon though, if I can get 8 people DTP will do 3 pulls for $50.00 per car on a Saturday.

Anyway, I am off to bed as it has been one hell of a day. Talk with you all soon.

John

I agree about the Z in the club name and not having something about G's. I also like the idea of having both cars in the club. New generation Z and G's though sorry I like the old 300zx but really how many you think will come? I never see them anymore anyway.
