Do you work at Dam Neck or Oceana? Ocean Lakes is pretty nice. I live in Sawyer Lakes, right around the corner. I'm starting to think about holding a Z BBQ/pool party 9SEP06, because that weekend looks open for me right now.

I'll plan for it on that weekend then. My wife knows I want to have one. We can't be cruising around the neighborhood, but maybe we could do a short drive down to Knotts Island. Not much to do except drive along Back Bay Refuge and then loop around. There aren't even good places to take photos. Maybe there is down by the Capt George's that got closed down in Pungo or at Munden Point Park. Then we could hang out at my place for burgers, dogs, beers (or sodas) and swimming.

I'll make a formal post when I can firm it up in my schedule.

I want to but I can't. My sister in law was willed a house that is falling apart, and really can't afford to live anywhere else. We really need to get it fixed up for her.

 

well, hell if I knew it was for a good reason like that. You could probably offer us some beer and we would come help fix it up.

 

Most of the familiy is going up there who don't live there. We're practically camping out lol. We hope to get a lot of things taken care fo so she can at least have a safe portion of the house to live in and start on the other repairs. It really just takes money and time. She owns the house outright. She may sell it because it's so big then move into something more manageable.

I went to C school there a couple years ago, love the base. Now Im an instructor there Very quiet and small and Oceana is around the corner if you need the "BIG NEX". Not really any traffic for the locals either

 

damn that nismo GB. i had to join in on that since it was a deal. anyone know if navy contractors can use the hobby shop on base? it's alot easier to install with a lift then on ramps.
