MegaMeet April 1rst & Cruise to the Meet...
Heres the basic info on the meet.....
MEGA MEET #9: Saturday, April 1st, 2006 7:00pm-11:00pm
The largest meet that the Mid Atlantic Area has seen will be back for everyone to enjoy after the winter break on Saturday, April 1, 2006 from 7:30p.m. to 11:00p.m. All of the sponsors are so excited for the next MEGA MEET because of how large it has grown during the 2005 season. This means ALOT more prizes for the raffle, plenty of free handouts, food and drink. Also, each meet holds different surprises that you will just have to show up to find out what they are.
It doesn't matter if you are part of a large car club, or just a single individual who enjoys being around other auto enthusiasts. This is a meet for everyone and anyone.....bring as many people as possible. The more people the merrier, but unlike other meets, good behavior will be enforced!!!!! There is no driving around the lot because this causes traffic problems and safety issues for everyone especially the younger car enthusiasts that attend the meet with their parents.
You cannot miss the meet because the exit ramp coming off of I-95N actually circles around the lot. The address of the lot is 1180 Annapolis Way in Woodbridge, Virginia (GoogleMap | VDOT map) Here are directions for the people who were not able to attend last month's meet....
From regions south of Woodbridge...
Take I-95 North towards Washington and look for the Route 123 exits. There are 2 exits and you need to take the second one (the exit # is 160B). When you get off onto the second Route 123 exit it will circle around the commuter lot and you can exit right into the lot off of the exit ramp.
From regions north of Woodbridge...
Take I-95 South towards Richmond and get off at exit 161 (Route 1). It is a left exit off of I-95 so watch out for this. Once on the exit, be careful of speed traps right after you go under the overpass because the speed limit drops down to 35mph. Go thru the first traffice light, cross over the bridge, go thru the second traffic light. Make a right at the third traffic light onto Gordon Blvd/Route 123. Stay in the right hand lane, continue on through the first traffic light and then you will see a sign for the "commuter lot". Make a right at the second traffic light and continue down the road, pass the hotel on your left, go under the overpass and enter into the commuter lot.
If you still are not sure on how to get there, please contact us at one of the following #'s....(703) 501-6444 for Ryan or (540) 840-3821 for Bryan
Hope to see a bunch of you there. Lets make this meet bigger and better than the last one (if that is possible)!

NOW....
www.EastCoastEuro.net will be hosting a cruise from Tysons Corner down to the MegaMeet and will have food, drinks, music, and lots of enthusiasts. Would any E46 guys be interested in joining?
-------------------------------------------------------------------
If so, here is the plan for the cruise...
So, on Saturday, April 1rst is going to be the first mega meet of the year. These things are HUGE (http://megameet.org ). The final meet last year had so many cars that people had to park outside of the lot. In fact, I would say half of the people who showed up had to do so. If we are going to get a great showing, we are going to have to get there early. I think the best thing to do is to meet up prior to the megameet and cruise down as a group.
As anyone wh ohas been to a megameet will tell you, parking is impossible. There are cars EVERYWHERE. To get a group parking area and stake out ECE territory, we need to get their early. For that reason, the cruise is almost mandatory if you want to be a part of the ECE show team/group/whatever you wanna call it.
Seeing that we will want to get there 30 minutes prior to the start, and given that it will take about 30 minutes to drive down there, I say we try and meet up at Tysons Corner 2, in the Macy's parking lot, at 5:45 and head out at 6-6:15.
We should try and get a HUGE party to drive down. Also, we should get everyone to bring some snacks and stuff for the evening. If we could get a BBQ that can be set up outside with some chicken, burgers, chips, soda, and we can have ourselves a legit cook out.
Also, if we want to attract other car enthusiasts, we should get some music playing and what not. Does anyone have a loud boombox, bookshelf stereo, portable tv, xbox etc, and a car invertor? Also, do any of you guys remember if they had power outlets and what not?

Just kidding man
You will meet a # of guys at the Mega Meet. Hopefully Kelly will be able to make it too so the usual suspects will be represented at a minimum..
A meet that far south might as well be for the South East Z Club. ;P
Mid Atlantic is MD/DC/NoVA and sometimes guys from PA, DE, and southern NJ come down. That makes MD a great middle ground. South of the DC beltway is a lonnnng way away for most folks.
Then throw in the Final Four.... yeah. hehe

MPoweredM3 and BMWPower06, cease with the thread jack and the member bashing. It's in violation of the ToU that you agreed to when you joined this site. You can review the ToU here.....

Thank you.
I want to thank everyone that came out to the MEGA MEET season opener and respected what these meets are all about. Just an FYI, the upper over flow lot across from the gas station IS NOT THE MEGA MEET LOT! You will be asked to leave if you are hanging around up there at any of the future meets. Please just park and walk on down to the lower VDOT lot and enjoy some of the nicest rides in the Mid Atlantic Region. The MEGA MEET Management has spent too much of their own time and money to have this all shut down because people can't behave themselves. Please, if you see anyone acting stupid, ask them to chill and just enjoy the meet. If they give you a problem, walk away and notify one of the MEGA MEET Staff so that we can get the police involved and take care of the situation. We would like these meets to continue to be safe for people of all ages. So, if you honestly cannot control your stupid acts, then please do not ever come back to the MEGA MEET because a lot of people would like these meets to stay around for a long time....
The pics from the April 1st meet have been uploaded to the "Gallery" section on our website (www.megameet.org). Thanks again to everyone for supporting the Mid Atlantic MEGA MEET and keep your calenders clear for the next meet on May 6th.
