Hey everyone, I am new here and to make this my first post I would like to say I am one of the relinemax mechanics. My name is Bruce but everyone calls me Papasmurf, you will see why if you come by the shop...no I am not small and blue with a beard, I actually have one tattooed on the back of my leg...its a nickname from when I was a kid. Anyway back to my point, please come by and support the grand opening of the shop and we look forward to meeting all the local 350z guys and hopefully one day I will get to work on your car too. And for those of you who venture on to maxima.org I have been on the fourm for over 6 years. So I look forward to learning more about these cars and working on them as well.

Bruce

well got in touch with sam at stillen,he had me measure the original pulley, then the stage 3 pulley with a micrometer.i gave him the results and quess what, indeed it,s not the right diameter.he thinks it was prolly machined wrong.he,s seending another one(which of course i had to pay for)but will be refunded when they get the defective one back.he also said im not seeing the right amount of boost,it should be reading about 6.5 to 7.0 so we will see.also i faxed him my a/f and dyno sheets.he said it is a little richer then they tune for,but should lean out just a tad with the right boost pulley.only reason i was so pissed is that im helping a g owner on g35 driver with his install over the internet.and they gave him the wrong instructions, left out the small s/c pulley and gave him a screwed up lower plenum.and with helping him and calling stillen for him they just **** you off on the phone.sorry about the rant.forgot to add i have to send them the split second box back and they will have it reprogramed.at least im overnighting it to them and they are gonna do the same,so i got to rent a car for a couple days dammit.

Good - so they are reprogramming it so you wont blow up when you get the newfound boost. Glad to hear it man....BTW Keith you posted your reply in the wrong post not in the one we started this conversation in.

They install tint and stereos. Last time I checked real performance shops that do go fast goodies dont do tint and crap like that thats another business. I know of many shops that claim to be tuners and do a lot of tint/cheap rims/rice boy mods---? HP Racing, Vivid Motorsports and GW Motorsports comes to mind in the Glen Dirty area-unfortunately they sound like these guys. Oh well no real surprise for a company to sign up on the forums and not even visit after a few days says everything to me.

It's interesting to me that this is a "sticky" thread about their event and they haven't posted since 5/31. I try not to assume that people are guilty before proven innocent, but the lack of response from redline is a bit of a slap in the face.
