Did anyone attend the Mazda Zoom-zoom event over at FedEx field today? I saw a couple of Zs parked there. Not sure if they are members here.

Anyways...I went to the event today. It was good. I drove the MazdaSpeed 6, CX-7, CX-5, miata, and RX-8. Best part was they had tracks setup for all the vehicles so you could push it. The RX-8 was an amazing drive in terms of handling. My god...I took turns on it so hard and sharp and it just took them with no problems. I really want to do this with my Z! lol..got to find some local trackers.

They have it tomorrow too in case anyone is intersted in attending.

 

i was there but i wanst as impressed with the rx8 as you were. the miata on the other hand was fun!

The miata was fun, but I think the problem was the track of the miata course was much shorter than for the rx-8 so I was able to really push the rx8 pretty hard for a much longer period.

 

I was up there Sunday. Man I was tearing up the courses. I ended up winning some small car prize. I also got a talking to twice about driving the Miata way too hard. I was having fun trying to drift it around that one huge turn. Good times!

 

same here. i forgot to turn the rx8's traction control off so that hurt the ride....

i got clipped 2 times! lol. couldn't drive for the rest of the day.... oh wells, i got my seat time in!!!



and yes, there was this one sick *** Z there. black with the nismo body kit & nismo CF wing, nismo LM4 gold forged rims, CF center console, CF emblem inserts, etc....

 

That Z was mine...

 

Oh nice. Well I thought ur Z was hot back at the AAM meet. I went about learning about the Evo R wing since one of the things I didn't like about the Nismo wing is the base.

I wasnt around for that event, I was on the other side of the FedEx lots at the SCCA autox event doing some AWD drifts in my own car :lol:
