Default shop to install body kit?

Hey fellas... so after sitting in my garage for a year, i finally got my vertex half kit painted from a friend that works at a paint shop...

now the problem is that i thought the install was pretty straight forward and utilized the same mounting locations as the stock side skirts... but upon removing my stock side skirt this morning and looking at it next to the vertex one, it seems as though some drilling may be required to get the side skirts on... (the kit is already pre drilled, there are no matching holes on the car in those locations though)

do you guys know anyone around the area that does a pretty good job at installing body kits for a decent price? i know that the vertex is pre-fitted before it leaves the factory in japan, so there shouldn't be any modification required. I'd just rather be safe and get a shop to install the kit. so... any recommendations?

and sorry i didn't use the searchh... at work so couldn't be on the forums for long

Buy a drill at sears for like 60$ and drill the holes yourself. It might be cheaper than paying for install and plus you get a new drill.

that's weird that there would be holes in the kit if they dont come close to matching up. especially with a quality kit like Vertex.

if i were you'd i'd drill it myself and save a couple of bucks.

my two cents... don't do something silly trying to save a few bucks and end
up paying more to fix a botched job. i would pay to get it installed.

if you have to ask how to install it... then probably shouldn't be installing it.
especially if it requires drilling holes. only takes one mistake to make your kit
look like s***. i was considering doing the same but decided to spend the $
for a professional job. did it cost more? sure. but probably not as much as it
would have cost if i tried it on my own.

good luck either way! just be careful bro!

haha yeah that was my point. I'm not really inept when it comes to cars... i installed most of the stuff on my car now myself (test pipes, underdrive, pop charger) but on a 1500 dollar kit i'd rather be safer than sorry...

so, back to the top... anyone know of any good shops?

Everyone w/ lambos in the Mid-A had Steve @ Vertex Motorsports do the install, maybe the new owners of Vertex will still do them for you, they are very knowledgable. However my suggestion: unless you want ur panels eaten alive by VDC, sell em and go with LSD doors!!! I cannot stress this enough!!

I already talked to kelly about lambos and everything to expect from them. From what I understand, if you're careful when opening them, and you open the door the way it's supposed to, even at warm days when they go up by themselves, if you just take your time and hold it and push it up, you should be fine. But Steve @ Vertex, anyone know the address, and the approx cost of the install.

You can try Kevin at D&V in Chantilly....

He painted my kit and I did the install. It's not hard, just take your time.
