Im stupid, and when it comes to personal property-especially my car I would have gone outside and seen what they had for me. I hate reading stories like this man, the direspect people have towards others things is upsetting. Let us know what you come up with. BTW-shoulda walked your big a$$ outside I bet they would have shut their mouths and drove off lol....

 

I would treat this like a crazy bit$$ , any contact will cause more contact bro and things might get worse , think about your job hell with this kid!

Plus this joker will have done 10 more stupid things before you even get that letter done. I also agree time and place was that day he is a punk anyway for driving off thats just like a sucker punch.

Think about your clearance first and foremost. It took me 20 months to get my TS and when s*** like this comes up now thats the first thing that crosses my mind. Does it suck? Yes. Would I want to superglue their locks? Yes. But aside from losing your job losing your clearance would be worse. Its then 10x harder to get a job and you have to explain everytime why you lost your clearance.

Dont do anything. It sounds like you have a good job already and as someone who hires cleared programmers all the time, its a golden ticket right now. Take a pass, even if that sounds like the p***y way out.

I have a cousin of mine that's like the delinquent you mentioned above, no letter, threat of jail time, loss of job will ever scare them. They grew up in the ghettos and if you want to get the message across, you gotta deliver the message a little more harsh. We all love our cars, think of it as them spitting on ur gf, would you let them get away with that without some immediate justice? I don't think so. Here's a suggestion that one of my boys actually did to someone that showed mad disrespect: he got 6-8 of his boys and waited for the culprit to leave his work area, memorize his path home. They placed an SUV ahead of the road to block his path where another SUV pulled behind the guy. They all were wearing ski masks so no one could be identified - pulled him out of the car, blind folded him, threw him in the back of the trunk, took him to one of those "rent a storage" areas, tied him to a chair and yanked all his toe nails out, then threw him into a local garbage dump. He was in a wheel chair for the next few months. Something like this would definitely get the message across, but of course if you'd like to be a tad more civilized, a note wouldn't hurt

I definitely think you did the right thing. If I were you I would just let it go. Bad things tend to happen when you try to retalate because you get it sort of a war and each person does something worst to the other and it gets progressively worst.

Keep your head like you did because you definitely are the bigger person.

 

Reminds me of a situation a year ago... my friends and I went to a bar called O'Malleys? or O'Tooles? I dunno...its on 29 near Centerville. Well after the bar let out we went to our car...my friend drove us in his evo. I went to sit in the car cause they were smoking some cigs and it was a bit chilly out. Then I hear a "BAM!!" and I'm like wtf are they doing outside. Then my boy comes up to my window and smacks the glass and yells "get out" so i come out and a little buzzed...mosly tired.. confused... Nonetheless I find out that some guys drove by in a pickup truck saying some racist ****. The smack on the glass was my friend trying to get my attention. So they were exchanging words and I get in between both of them and in the guys face like whats up? Then they didn't wanna fight no more. Said it was a misunderstanding. blah blah blah. Whatever.

 

but to stay on topic. one time i got back to my car from the theater and see an empty box of mickey d's french fries on my hood. i was pissed!!

 

At Virginia Tech...I was washing installing my rear speakers one day and 6 mexicans had come down from Springfield in one Mustang to visit my neighbor for the weekend. I had the interior pieces out on the ground behind my car. Two of the mexicans were by my car and one of them spits on it. I stopped working and asked why he did that.

Esse: I didn't spit on your car.
Me: Yeah you did...here's your mark...
Esse: You trying to start something?
Me: Are you serious? You just spit on my car...
Esse: Whatchu gonna do about it?

I just went back to installation.

Later that night, they were having a party 2 floors up. From my living room I heard glass shatter and ran outside. They threw a Corona (seriously) that landed about 3 feet to the right of my car and shattered. I ran upstairs trying to find the owner of the apartment to make him kick his friends out. All the mexicans pretended not to be able to speak english when I asked where the tenants were. It turns out one of them had their little sister there that weekend as well and was scared for her because of all the friends his friend had brought down.

So....I just took my car and parked it in another neighborhood making sure they didn't follow me so they couldn't mess with my car. Later that night, their car got towed and they came to me asking for help. I found the towyard number for them and that was that. Punks aren't worth your time.

 

Ok guys major update .... I found out last night that this douche was on the remorselful side. He basically confided in a mutual friend of mine (You can't make this **** up) :
"I guess I was really wasted last night. I was just admiring this guys car (bull f*cking sh*t) and he beeped it a few times and I was like WTF? and somehow things escalated ... so do you know anything about this guy or if anyone saw anything"

My friend replied: "First off it's not cool to mess with another man's property. As for guy I really don't know him."

Here's the best part ... this is the same douche that said to the same friend at a bar a couple of months ago: "Hey I was talking to her first so step off". And my friend replied: "She's all yours". BTW my friend is GAY. He's not flaming but he comes off enough to know you have nothing to worry about competing with him for another women.

so fellas ... It's officially ON ... he will be f*cked with ... I've found out enough about this douche that he's all bark and no bite. The note will be left and I'll eventually pay his restaurant a visit. Of all people, my g/f actually told me to just "go beat the **** out of him" ... made me laugh. She works right across the street from his restaurant and is leaving the note this afternoon.

 

btw: the familiar story I witnessed about having the police on hold is as follows ...

My g/f's brother (him and his wife are NYPD) got married last year. We all went to a dive bar in queens for some drinks hours after the reception. There's atleast 6 or 7 off duty police at this bar. Everything happened really quick ... but two other guys started throwing punches at one of the off-duty police officers. Immediately badges were shoved in their face and two dudes and the rest of their friends were basically giving a look like "oh **** ... wtf do we do now" ...

well somehow all of them leave the bar and get in their SUV ... the newly wed bride follows them out and gets their tags and calls the police station. I **** you not ... within one or two minutes a queens cop pulls up and says: "Alright all of them are laying cuffed on the concrete about a mile down the street, what do you guys want to do with them? " as in do you want me to arrest them or what? My g/f's brother basically says "no let 'em go" ... reason being, they didn't want to write up the paper work and explain to their captain how they were involved in a fight at a dive bar.

 

thats like the other night my fiance borrowed my car to go hang out with her friend ( i thought she was going to her house) but they went to the village... i was like... what are you thinking takin my car to the village with 800000 drunk people around... oh well, nothing happened thankfully


but yeah dutch, i wouldn't do anything that would make you lose your clearance, cause like everyone else has said, he's not worth it. but f***ing with him can be fun... i like the shrimp idea from the other thread

 

How old is this guy? Like I said, I usually am a do-nothing kind of guy for a couple of reasons. One my car is usually nicer and I have more to lose if they decide to get revenge on me. But two, most punk's stupid sh*t just isnt worth the trouble for what you can lose if you get cops involved in some sort of altercation.

But one time a few years back my wife and I were out in the Tysons area, some old fart a**hole was hitting on her the whole night - with me there. Slurring drunk, trying to look good for his buddies, I mean just the kind of guy you want to pop once and get it over with. But I dont. So he goes to walk outside to his car and I follow him out to the parking lot. Not to confront him but to call 911. I say "Yeah I'm *really* sorry I dont know if this is an emergency or not, but I'm calling from so and so bar, I can see you have an officer in the parking lot of the grocery store. Well there's an old guy in a red Miata leaving the bar right now, he's been drinking for the past 6 hours and almost fell out of the bar, might be worth your trouble before he hurts someone"

I saw the cop follow him out about 5 minutes later but know nothing about what happened after that. Is that better or worse than punching the guy right in the face like I wanted to? I dont know, but I smiled the whole fawking weekend after that.

 

I think he's 22/23 ... From what other people have told me about him ... he gets totally wrecked and acts like a complete douche ... next day he ends up apologizing to several people.

 

Seems like he's all talk no action and no ***** to backup what he says, I didn't think 22/23 year olds still acted like this? Maybe I'm giving them too much credit.
