Default Broken Valve Stem/Tire Pressure Monitor???

After attending the meet a few weeks ago at the new Frederick Nissan dealership, I picked up a nail in my driver side rear tire. Long story short had to replace the tire for $200. Last night was washing the car and while washing the wheel, the valve stem broke and blew off??? Don't know if this resulted from the tire shop installing the new tire or what??? Called Tri-State Nissan in Winchester...$110, Brown's Sterling $125. Both said not covered under warranty??? Has anyone else had trouble with this??? Had a regular valve stem put in temporarily to get me back home, but now the tire pressure monitor gauge in the car is going nuts!!!

Hang on for a little while man. When I get mine back from the guy who bought my track wheels, I'll give you one. Should be a couple of weeks.
