I like it somewhat. Toyota tried to keep the style almost the same as the originals, but added tooooo much plastic and ugly styling to it. i.e- lamp housings.
a jeep would of been a better offroader, but that's my .02
check out this vid, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jakPvVwuyU
that's what you should expect unless you're going to lift it + tires.

I like the FJs better than H2s... I think I would have taken a black on black H3 over that though...

Nice Toby. Those things are growing on me. You're gonna love the difference in gas alone.

Well you came close! I looked at the FJ, H3, and the X and bought the Off Road model last month.

The FJ and I didn't fit, I just couldn't see enough of the world from the driver's seat to make me feel safe off road. I want the ability to see where the corners are and the Xterra wasn't good but the FJ was real bad. Around here the FJ's are selling for MSRP or more, the Xterra's were $6000-$8000 cheaper selling under invoice. There's not too many FJ's sitting on the lots so I would have had to taken a 4x2 or something in an ugly color the Nissan dealer found the proper color and drive train for me $1000 under invoice.

I think you'll like the FJ better than the H2 to be sure.

LOL, Yeah the H2 is horrible. But Im definitely feeling ya. My F-150 is pretty bad. Not quite as bad as the H2 but, pretty friggin bad bro. Atleast gas is going down in cost. Its already gotten like $15 dollars cheaper a tank for me. Its rediculous, how much of a difference a small amount per gallon makes, especially with big trucks.

You cant beat a Wrangler off road I have had a few of them, but they are not fun on the street or in the rain, good choice I think Toyota did a good job.

I actually like those FJ's and have considered one myself. Hummer's are crap in my opinion.

3" lift and some slightly bigger tires then you're straight!

Hey Toby,
Congrats on the new toy, the FJ's are cool. You should check out myfjcruiser.com. It's owned/run by WashUJon, a former moderator here. He's done a great job with the site. (I normally wouldn't link to another forum since it's frowned upon here, but the FJ isn't a competing market for us. )
