Default I blew my engine!

on my Ford Windstar '00 work van.

hahahah

seriously tho... I have no idea why it happened!! i was driving down 695... accelerating a little bit trying to pass a car, going around 80mph or so...AC is on...and then I hear the loud knocking coming from the engine... and no power. Pull over, engine is still running, barely idling. Look under the car - no oil, no oil in the engine bay anywhere, but the engine is shaking badly, so is the whole car. Seems like one (or more) cylinders are dead; The engine is not overheating or anything, I actually drove the car the closest parking lot by one of our hotels.. and called cingular roadside assistance.

The car has 120k miles on it, well maintained... The tranny went out once, but was replaced under warranty... Everything else was great; it was quick too! (for a van)

so...any ideas what could have failed? and how much am I looking at to pay to fix this POS?

lawl...
what a f**ked up year...

I work at a junkyard and know off hand that those ford motors on windstars are POS! This past september I've sold 3 98 windstar motors, 2 00 windstar motors and 3 trannies. Dont even let me start on caravan transmissions....
