Default Germantown folks..where's a good state inspector in the area?

I'm trying to help out a new Viper owner in the Germantown area. He's looking for a good place to get the state inspection done. Anybody know of a place that's competent and understanding of 'sports car anality'? He'd really like to find a place that will allow him to ride along on the test drive (apparently a test drive is required in MD?).

Any input greatly appreciated!

Being in the business for awhile its gonna be hard finding one that will let you ride along. Maryland State police is very strict and can hold that up against the state inspector and revoke his license. Of course there are those stations that will let you but those are the shady places I wouldnt take my car to.
I would just tell your friend to just suck it in this time and let them do their thing without him. Just my experience. I had state inspectors at our shop get their license revoked for petty things such as inspectin too many cars in a day

Yeah, Maryland is pretty ridiculous when it comes to the inspection. On the bright side you only have to go through one and then your car is set for life. Inspections can't even go on weekends or if it's raining out.

Are you sure driving is one of the requirements? When I got my car registered couple years back my understanding was it was basic check to see if you car meets the visual/physical requirements to be on the road (ie mirrors, reverse lights, good suspension, etc)

I think there is a minimum 1.8 mile test?? It's been a while. I used to work at a Dealer and a few years ago you could have a passenger, as I always went out for the fast cars "inspections"
