Question Ipod Nano In 350Z!

Hey

I just bought an Ipod Nano 8GB. While I still can't get myself to stop playing with this like a little kid, I'm anxious to know how I can hook it up in my Z with the best sound quality. I did some search on the previous threads on this matter but nothing has seem to be accomplished. Many vague answers such as buying a head unit that has AUX or hard wiring which are all out of the question. FM Transmitters are my best case so I guess Ill go off topic with this. What's the best FM Transmitters you guys use for such applications in your cars. It couldn't necessory have to be the 350z.

Thanks in advance

FM transmitter suck. Name your headunit. If its alpine and 2006 model year or greater, theres a 15 dollar wire to directly hardwire it in. If its pre 2006, theres a auxillary wire they sell that hard wires it for 50 bucks. I'd hardwire it for CD quality sound.

Oh my mistake. It's a 2006 Enthusiast! I got the stock sound system also, not the Bose one. So hard wire would qualify for that as well? Any place that does this because I can garuntee you that I won't be able to do it.

Does your head unit have an auxillary input... I remember seeing auxillary on the back of my 2005 headunit. However, i have no auxillary input button...
My friends 2002 acura CL-S doesn't have the button, but once the head unit detects an auxillary input, hitting CD twice will switch to auxillary.

Friends never let friends have their stereo installed at Best Buy.

Direct Connect it. I believe that the factory radio does have an AUX and periferal makes an awesome piece for 60 bucks (Best Buy). It plugs into the Aux of ANY radio (be careful which one, they make a few) and your done. It actually comes out into 3 jacks. 2 RCA's, 1 IPOD (charging capability), and 1 headphone type you canonly use one source at a time but I love it and I don't have that dreadful "interface" which is horrible to control thru the radio.

So if its the base stereo, I believe its Clarion.
Hope that helps

I couldn't handle using the fm transmitter anymore. I've got an older Alpine without any aux inputs so I picked up this adapter off of ebay. It runs through the AI net and turns it into a aux hookup.
