Default so i have the fever...

I have always loved 350z's, i knew one day i would be a proud owner and i would be complete with the car stock itself. I thought my car stock would be all i needed. I bought the car and i felt great. A month or so later I was walking around advanced auto parts and i saw performance filter for my car and i thought "hmmm a lil more power." So I indulged myself and bought the silly little filter, little did i know that silly little filter would be a catalyst for my new found hobby. I didnt feel much but a lil more giddy-up in my car but i immediatly went home did more research on Z's and found this community of owners. After cautious research i decided to indulge myself more and i bought an intake manifold plenum... a little bit later i bought the invidia n1 exhaust... Now i find myself spending alot of time on these forums researching and planning my next upgrade. "****" i realized. Around the same time my buddy bought an STI and began modifying. He has a garage with a full lift so whenever we get new parts its a race over there for the install. Im learning so much about automotive tech stuff its redic. Im already planning spending thousands of dollars going FI (turbonetics stage 2 when it comes out).
Never thought i would become a Gear head. I got the Fever.

ITS CONTAGEOUS! I actually have gone more of the addiction route myself, because it NEVER stops. LOL Every vehicle I have ever owned was customized Mild to Wild.

Here I'll go first.

Hi my name is Robbie ,also known as Driven1, and I am a mod addict! Someone please help my wallet!

LOL same here man I told myself I wasn't going to mod this car when I bought it. It remained stock for 3 years until I paid it off. Now without that car payment I started to look around and found this forum. Look at my join date..everything I bought came after I joined.... LOL somebody shoot me because I have it bad and it's going to turn into turbo-rculosis soon

im a cheap asian....I like to stuff my cash under my bed and call it a night. I search forums for cheap deals on used items....so far so good. Ive got most of my parts on these forums for about half or less of what they sell for new and I couldnt be happier even if its used. The performance gains are still there

YESS!!! Someone that has the same philosophy as me and realizes that metal pipes are metal pipes, used or new! Cheap Asians FTW!

However, no more car mods for me! Next Mod: House!

I kind of new what I wanted to do with the car b/c I've modded all of my bikes and previous cars but I thought I would go with some body mods for once with the Z(my Mustang and Cobra had only hp improving mods).\
I warn you to be careful though b/c the way you started out is pretty much the same way Brent started out and look at all the BS he's endured this year...BTW Brent Merry Christmas...hope everything gets better for ya...
Everyone else Merry Christmas too.

still waiting for the Seibon hood to come in. It was ordered like a month ago and still hasn't gotten to Frederick yet. It's winter time now so for all I care it can stay there til spring. I think I might have them do the interior and engine now while I'm at it so it's like getting a whole different car back. Not to sure about the RB swap since I've heard/read/spoken with people who have had a bunch of issues and things going wrong with the cars. I am kind of to the point where I just want the car to be done with about 450whp, nice interior and out of the shop with no reason for it to go back into the shop for anything major ever again.
Although Frederick Nissan and Arthur have been great I am just kind of tired of the car. I think that after this season/summer I will be looking to move on to another project, but that could change after I see the finished product/get to drive my Z again.

I think when people go crazy on mods, and for one reason or another dont get to enjoy driving their Z when they want, you lose that connection from your car and want to ditch it. You have put alot of effort and $$ into it, and its not even done, Id hate to see it go so soon. Good luck in whatever you decide.

+1, car modding can become very boring especially if you don't drive your car and you put in all that money to simply look at it sitting in a shop day in and day out.

Whenever it gets done, I DO hope you actually drive the darn thing unlike others who do super extensive bodywork/turbos and leave it sitting around because it's officially too pretty to drive.
