Zeus Here!!!!!!!!!!
Hello all.
As some of you might know I sold my supercharged Z, and got an 06 R1, and a 06 Cayenne. Anyways today while doing a turn at 70 on the R1, I hit a wet patch and that's all I remember to be honest.
Conclusion......I totaled the bike (I don't care), and I ended up with 36 stiches on my head and face. I'm lucky to be alive. I'm def. counting my blessings, and just wanted to tell you guys to take it a little slower out there. I'm so happy to be alive, and when I came out of the hospital it brought me to tears to see literally about 50 people in the waiting room waiting for me.
Take it easy guys!!

Really glad you are okay. Your situation sounds like most riders who layed their bikes down...."I hit a wet patch and that's all I remember to be honest." For me it's not that I don't trust myself with a bike, it's I don't trust the cars around me.
glad to see you in 1 piece . bikes can mess ya up quick. 1 almost got me took 9yrs of ridding but that was enough for me have not been on 1 since. good luck and hope you heal up good

You're too damn big to be riding a bike anyway.
So should we assume from the head/facial injuries that you weren't wearing a helmet while taking turns at 70 MPH?
Anyway, glad you're ok man. Cayenne huh? What happened to the Viper?

Good God Man !!!!! 36 stitches !!!!! Dropped my Harley once at a 125 and was thrown into oncomeing rush hour traffic----I walked away. Let us relize that its a fine line between surviving and Being "No More" Glad u were a member of the former other than a few Battle Scars !!!! Good luck on the healing process !!!!!!!
I've known too many people that have gotten killed or maimed for life on bikes. Can't use 'em. I'm glad you're are OK. Stay surrounded by steel and airbags ... the safest way to travel on highways.
I crash my Mom's 1989 Toyota Camry 4 dr in 1993...it had 30 day tags on it. I broke my back in 4 places, hole in one lung, collapsed the other, split my head open for 15 staples, broke my shoulder blade and I was only going 45mph! I thought I was parilized when they said my back was broke.
God is good and thankfully he is gracious too. It doesnt matter if you buy a G, Z, R1, M or GTS....anything over 30 can kill you, hell stairs can kill you! I am glad to hear you have recovered and are able to type and articulate thoughts. We all should be thankful, we can get out of bed and used the bathroom on our own, many car accidents have left many without such abilities.
I can relate to your feelings of exiting the building. I had what looked like a UN meeting when I awoke in ICU on day 4 from being knocked out.
God bless.

Hey Zues man give me a call-same number. That sucks, but I'm glad you came out ok. I did the same thing a couple years ago although I was doing about 60 and went head first into a storm drain, but it was a little oil on the road not rain/water and didn't have to go to the hospital. Are you going to ride again for the summer?
