George Mason University
Does anyone here attend George Mason?
It's my 1st choice in colleges and I was accepted there earlier in December.
I'm wondering how do you like it there? The goods and the bads of the school. Anything to help me out.
Thanks

I'll put it this way. If you are pursuing business, this is the school to attend. Anything else, you are well off finding other schools. Most teachers are Yale and Harvard graduate. They go out their way to help you. If you stay on track, you can do well, parties are pretty decent and the tution is pretty nice as well. All in all, I like it.
I don't know the school very well but I know a few guys from that school and they're all @*******s. One guy was this guy that went out with my ex after we broke up. He's this "I can beat up the whole world" type of guy and somehow had so much beef against me. Another guy was my landlord when I used to work for ibm in fairlakes area. The landlord was a real @ss and wouldn't give me my deposit back. So overall I don't like that school! But I've been hearing good things about their academic programs. Go for it and don't turn into one of those.
I go to VCU but I have friends who go there mostly because they didn't get into other schools like JMU etc. I wouldn't want to go there because it is WAY too close to home. It is also a huge commuter school, but then again so is VCU, we're 2nd to GMU in size in VA Universities. It's not on a level with schools like UVA, but it's not bad either. I think it got way too popular though from last years Basketball season. Go check it out and see if you like it there, the people and the environment will make or break the deal for you. Personally, I love my school and would not want to go to GMU. But that is just my opinion.

Good thing about George Mason is that it is really close to DC so there is a lot to do. They keep adding new bars/clubs in the area too. Lots of people and lots to do. I'm at a community college nearby b/c I f***ed myself out of UTEP, but anyways I'm transfering to UVA after another two semesters if I can keep my GPA up.

Ive checked it out about 4 times so far. I really like the campus and the area. I've heard it is a good academic school too. It's about 2 hours away from home and I think thats pretty good.
I plan on majoring in accounting or business and hopefully work for the Secret Service or FBI once Im done and all of those agencies are close by, so that is a plus for me.
The only downside is the sports, its nothing like The Ohio State University, Florida, Texas, etc...
I've been there twice when students were around and its hard to tell how I'll like it.
I'll be up at the Patriot Center Friday for the OAR concert so hopefully Ill be able to check GMU out more.

So after lots of research, I found a secure thing and something I liked. I'm a Junior doing Accounting and hoping to finish in a year and hopefully pass the CPA also
Finance, and Marketing are good as well. Management is BS I think because what are you managing with no base education you know.

Did I mention, he goes to work at 11AM and max stays there by 1PM
